While walking the Market in Omaha we came upon Upstream. What a pleasant surprise. We were there for happy hour and the specials were fairly good. We both got $7 pizzas, shared pretzel bites and had some really good house brewed beer. Ironic that it was an old fire house. That made it even more interesting for us. The food was good and filling. The prices for happy hour were really good. Enjoyed dinner and would definitely go back.
I remember this being a great restaurant with a wide variety of entrees and fresh options. It doesn’t seem to be that way now. Tried finding something dairy free for a child to eat and was very limited. Not having a bread or potato option that is dairy free is very limiting. The salmon entrees were super yummy and the grilled chicken for my daughter was good. Just wish they had a few more healthful options for kids and adults.
Had the pretzel crusted cheese curds and fried pickles for appetizers around the table. Both were very delicious. Had the pork sandwich which was delicious and the dundee scotch ale that was rich. Reasonable prices for the amount of food served.
Went here once, not really a fan. Not trying to be a yuppy and definitely not cool, perhaps that’s why I didn’t care for it. Thought it was over-priced. I’m sure I’m not their kind of people.
I’ve been to Upstream at both locations several times and found the food and service inconsistent. All I can say is take your chances and hope the kitchen and wait staff are having a good day. I will say every child I have taken here in magician night have enjoyed the experience.
Decent microbrews. Fish and chips we average, kitchen was crazy backed up on a Thursday early evening. Waiter apologized for it knowing it was a problem. Great outdoor atmosphere in Old Town.
Terrible experience… One of my guest ordered Fish & Chips and he got Fish & Grease… (OLD GREASE). I am not going back even if the food was free
