Large Portions, Good Food. Tacos Las Palmas really should change their name. Yes, they have a big variety of street tacos on the menu, but they also have tortas, enchiladas, burritos, fish, and other items for your enjoyment.Located in a small strip mall just east of Locust Street, next to a giant palm shop, this little restaurant is short on atmosphere, but long on taste. You order at the counter, from the large menu boards above you on the back wall. Most meals are under $10. There are daily specials quite a bit less.The burritos are simply gigantic. The enchiladas are much smaller, but there are three to a dinner plate, along with rice and beans. I sampled a combo enchilada plate with chicken, pork and beef enchiladas. All were good. The only thing I didn’t care much for are the complimentary chips. They are thick and just not to my liking.Service was quick. Our food was out to us in less than 10 minutes from the time we ordered.There are many good Mexican places in Grand Island. Tacos Las Palmas ranks up with the best of them.
