Wonderful hole-in-the-wall place. Pancake was enormous and delicious. Fried ham was good but a tad too salty. Throughly enjoyed the hot roast beef sandwich with plenty of flavorful brown gravy on it and my fries. Also sampled a plain biscuit- I highly recommend trying it too.
Best Breakfast I’ve had. I’m new to Lincoln NE and have been looking for a good restaurant for breakfast. I tried a chain restaurant and was very disappointed. I normally don’t read or write reviews but decided that I need some advice before making another mistake. The reviews here don’t lie. This is the best breakfast that I have ever had! You won’t be disappointed.
Best breakfast of my life. Everything came together perfectly one glorious morning – the eggs Benedict was everything it could be. The sauce – wonderful flavor, perfect amount, expertly prepared. The entire meal consisted of everything I wanted at the time with exactly the right amount of each ingredient. This was the first breakfast I have ever experienced where I could not think of anything that could have made it better. Once in a lifetime things come together perfectly and it happened for me at Engine House!
Great Breakfast!. Friendly, fast, and frequented – by locals, regulars, and others. Good, solid breakfast food. Nice-sized portions and well prepared. A classic diner for breakfast and other meals of your day. Try it.
Good honest food. The chili burger is great. Couple that with tater tots and I felt 10 years old again. My friends’ chicken sandwiches looked darn good too. Service was good — a great place for lunch.
Nive place. Great history. Service was.a little slow, but the place was packed. Food quality was good, taste was not much to brag about.
