Went to Billy’s for lunch on Friday when they were doing their $5.99 lunches. Took my wife, and son and daughter-in-law who were visiting us from the UK. Three of us ordered burgers. Our surly server, Ramona, (who has served my wife and I on previous visits there and never smiles) was pretty abrupt telling us that she will take our drink and food orders at the same time. We noticed that she did not ask us how we would like our burgers cooked. When we got our food we found that the middle of our burgers were still pink. My son asked for some ranch dressing and it took about 15 minutes to arrive. She was quick on the mark to give us our check but I then had to get another server to run my credit card as our server was nowhere to be seen.Overall a pretty disappointing dining experience with under-cooked food and poor service. I sometimes get the impression there that if you are not a regular there you tend to be ignored.

Surprised at the low 71%! Owner stayed open past lunch hour when we called ahead. Due to gluten allergy, he made a soup for me on the fly when I couldn’t eat their soup special (I almost never can). The food was very good (my dad loved the Reuben), and the owner even tried to make a special dessert for me that didn’t contain gluten. It was tough holding him off from making these special considerations! We’ll be back and will call ahead – so he won’t be blindsided making the extra dishes he was so intent on serving. 😉
One of Lincoln’s Best!. I have been to Billy’s a number of times over the past few years. Each time, the food has been phenomenal!! I try something different with every visit and it has never been diappointing. The Chef and Owner, Nader, is a truly genuine individual and always nice to speak with. I would recommend this eating establishment to anyone. (Try the butternut squash soup!)
