Love Buzzards. Our favorite restaurant in Lincoln always exceptional service super menu at very reasonable prices friendly atmosphere you leave happy and full of the greatest food ever once you have eaten there you never want to go anywhere else the menu has something for everyone and the Staff treats you like Family this is a Great place
Love this place. The food, the drinks and the atmosphere! All are excellent! The beers on tap can’t be beat. Love the Rasta Pasta and the Mardi Gras Pasta. (the lunch portions are smaller for the light eater, but I go for the dinner size all the time!) If you want it spicier all you need to do is ask! The staff is so friendly and the manager always seems to want to help you enjoy your time. Another gem for Lincoln!
Great food!. They have the best gator fingers ever!
Good spicy shrimp…. I had the spicy shrimp alfredeaux (sp) and it was very good. However, others in my party did not have as good of an experience. It seemed that those who had sauces on their entrees were more pleased than those with dishes prepared in a more healthy fashion. Order with that in mind.
Me likes!. I am from Louisiana so I know good, authentic Cajun cuisine. The restaurant has a very fun, atmosphere with lots of old signage, license plates, etc. Went on a Saturday for lunch and there were a lot of patrons. We got some local brews and both were good. Food was good. Service was good. Prices reasonable. I recommend!
Food was fair, but too cold inside to enjoy it.
I should have known better. After a good couple of days testing out new restaurants, I thought I would give Buzzard Billy’s a try – apparently my luck had run out. After having lived in New Orleans for a year and falling in love with that food culture, I was dying for a good po’boy, jambalaya or etouffee. As far as I can tell, if New Orleans cuisine is a first love, Buzzard Billy’s output is a drunken, ill-advised rebound relationship with a Vegas showgirl – to outside observers, they may be the same, but those in the know would never be fooled. I started out with a sweet tea and shrimp po’boy with a side of hushpuppies, figuring simple would be better. The tea was technically, sweetened ice tea, but it was nowhere near the teeth-etchingly, caffeine buzz inducing awesomeness that is genuine southern sweet tea. Similarly, the shrimp po’boy, while having all the ingredients of it’s name sake, was a poor reflection of the original. The shrimp were small, improperly cleaned, flaccid, and tasteless, with a breading that still gleamed of grease; the lettuce and tomato bland; and the remoulade vinegary and overpowering, even in small portions. Worst of all, the french bread had been _fried_, a cardinal sin, even in a food culture that loves to fry the hell out of everything else. I know that I shouldn’t have expected much, but if you’re going to start a restaurant based around something so obsessed with flavor and freshness as Creole and Cajun cuisines, it would be nice if you at least gave them a nod.
