This deli has a hometown feel in the middle of downtown Lincoln. The owner seemed to know all the customers by first name and is just as kind to a first time customer like myself. The first thing I was excited to see is that the menu is huge. I love having options and knowing if I come back, there’s always something new to try. I was pleasantly surprised by how much my sandwich reminded me of the delis in New York City. Meats are sliced in front of you, the bread is fresh and there is a unique variety of toppings. (Yay for mushrooms!) The owner Danny, is extremly humble and down to earth and you can tell he loves what he does. This place was once even voted Nebraska’s best deli and there are several newspaper articles featuring the deli on the walls. With all that being said, if you are tired of having only 5-6 sandwich choices at Jimmy John’s or the thought of another processed meat Subway sandwich makes you want to consider other food options, give this place a try. You won’t regret it. Two days later, and I’m already craving another bite of that sub. 🙂
