No Thanks.. I honestly think that KFC chicken has WAY more flavor than anything from Lee’s Chicken. Also when we finally got our order an hour and a half later (they told us 30 minutes) the sides that we got were the size of 1/4 of a cup. Definitely not going back, especially for not getting what we definitely paid for.
Is there a better place to eat after a Husker ball game? Fried chicken after Husker’s Spring Game …29 Dec, 2010Lee’s never changes, even if our dining habits do! The two piece chicken dinner is still my favorite, but leave your calorie counter at home. Order salad and fries as your sides, and enjoy. Add an order of onion rings as an appetizer, and wash it all down with a Miller Hi-Life.
Great atmosphere and excellent fried chicken and service for a great price. The regularly have live piano too! Not to be missed if you like classic eateries with awesome food. And a full bar.
Best chicken ever!. I live out of town now, but still love going to lee’s chicken when i am back in town visiting.
Don’t bother. Went this weekend with out of town guests since we had a great experience a few years ago. Had the worst chicken ever, it was dry and the batter had no seasoning. The sides were likewise inedible. The manager who cashed us out yawned in my face and then threw some gum at me. We won’t be back, and we don’t suggest anyone else go either.
GREAT chicken and onion rings. Clean, friendly, good service. If you want shiny, glossy and modern this is not the place. If you want good chicken and a nostalgic setting this is the place.
Lee’s is a sort of conundrum…during football season, Lee’s is typically on point, with good, hot food, quality service, and the atmosphere is great.Outside of football season, such as our family’s last visit, the opposite was true–the food was subpar (over-greasy chicken, rotten baked potato), and getting service was like pulling teeth. Honestly, I’ll wait until the fall and give Lee’s another try.
