Good food, but slow service. I hate to be hard on Misty’s, since they’re a Lincoln classic. The blue cheese burger I had was great, but the service was sloooowwww. Ordered coffee and finally got it nearly 20 minutes later, and the wait for the food was even longer after ordering. Maybe they were understaffed…?
Disappointment. I was in Lincoln for work. Our client recommended us to try Mistys for a steak dinner. Service was slow. The brought our steaks out and placed the wrong ones in front of us and we had to switch. We had to send our steaks back. I ordered mine Medium Well and my coworker ordered his Medium. I received mine rare and he received his well done. The brought us new ones that were corrected. But by that time we were filled up with our potato that we ordered and the break they provided us. After our new steaks were delivered, our server was MIA. We were finished and waiting for our checks for over 20 minutes (Mind you they were not busy, at all). Finally the hostess walked by and we asked her to get us our checks. She brought them to us and then our waitress finally came to get our payment. We are in town for work several times a year, and needless to say we will not return, nor recommend it to anyone. I am not a Steak Snob, nor a negative food critequer. I travel for work year round so always take reviews to heart. After reading several reviews on here, I wish I would have looked on here prior to taking our clients recommendation. The only positive thing I have to say is that it was walking distance from our down town hotel, the hostess was very friendly and the bottle of wine I ordered with our meal was great! Everything else had nothing positive.
Rocky start but good finish. Visiting Lincoln this week and wanted a nice dinner last night. Drinks were poorly mixed at first but management immediately took care of us and the rest of the meal was good.Appetizers were well prepared and the meal was very pleasant. Good portions and reasonably priced for our entrees. We did not have steaks so I can’t speak on the steakhouse part of Misty’s.
I can’t believe I’m writing this but I had the worst experience at Misty’s. The crab cakes were great and the salad was very good but over dressed. But the steak was absolutely horrible. I asked for ribeye steak in paid for 1. But I’m pretty sure they gave me a New York Strip. The meat was tough and hard to cut through and was not cook to my liking. I will still continue to go to Misty’s in Havelock. But I will never go back to the downtown branch.
Service…. Very good. Dinner….. Very good. Atmosphere…. Old charm Im from Kansas City, even people there know and love Misty’s. Excellent place.
In the midwest. I traveled to Lincoln for a conference and to welcome Nebraska into the big ten. The prime rib was good and the fresh vegetable was simple but delicious. A good choice if you are looking for beef.
