I had a gyro and it was quite good. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The wi-fi was OK. If you're in Kearney you should give this place…

It may not be genuine, but I would eat there every day if I could.. I love the meat and cheese pita soaked in Cholula sauce. Their gyros are great too…

As all the food purists saying these aren't traditional gyros, they're not wrong... they lack a sense of adventure. Using beef/lamb mix, Nick's casts …

LOVE this place!! I remember when this used to be by the college and my house, was there a lot!!! Every time I am back in town I eat this about everyday. People I bring back to Kearney, tell me this is the best food ever. They always want me to bring Gyros back to them after my visits here in Kearney. Keep up the great work and great prices.
Maybe not authentic. But the gyros and meat and cheese pitas are fantastic. Not only that but the price is reasonable.
Depends on What you expect. I am working a job assignment in Kearney, NE now and decided to check out this place. Is the food authentically Greek, no. Does the food taste good, yes. The place is crowded with locals, so you know that most people agree that it tastes good. If you are into that kind of stuff and don’t mind some unhealthy calories, this place is worthwhile checking out if you are in this area.
Sadly Disappointed. Yeah, saying this isn’t authentic Greek would be the best statement. Beef not lamb, pita bread isn’t even close, cheese normally isn’t an option, the sour cream is close to tzatziki (all they would really have to do is add cucumber and dill), and no fries in the pita (best part)! As far as the review stating confusion on Gyro or Burrito, I lived in Volos Greece and hot sauce was ALWAYS put on authentic Gyros, no matter what part of the country you were in…even throughout the islands. So every Gyro you ever get, always remember the hot sauce! It compliments all the other ingredients nicely. I went into this place hearing they were authentic, so I’m negative purely based on the fact that I wanted something close to what I was used to and it was not.
I wouldn’t classify this place as Greek. It is more like, American sandwhich ingredients put into a pita. It is very good though.
Damn good food people are a little short on service and the place needs a good cleaning but I would not change it at all.
Nicks will always rock.. So as your #2 competition I figured I had better write a review from my visit on Sunday the 30th. Showed up bout 5:50 pm, waited I’m line behind someone ordering bout 1 min then was informed it would be a few due to a large to-go order. Nice letting me know since there were only bout 8 of us in here. Very nice man took my order (lifts weights, wore a stocking hat). While waiting he let me know wait time a few times just to keep the customer informed. Good job. Food was great, service was great, everything looked clean and in order. Thanks Nicks. Been eating Nicks as long as I can remember.
