San Pedro has become a lunch time hot spot in Kearney. It has pretty good food but the service can be very frustrating. The parking is very cramped and often overflows across the street. The atmosphere it’s typical Mexican, nothing special. The service was incredibly slow even though the place was half capacity. The Patron margarita wasn’t too good but I’ve had worse. The chimichanga was the highlight of my visit and the prices were competitive.Overall, I might go back for Mexican flavor but there are better places in Kearney.

I’ve been a regular customer of San Pedro for many years. I think they have the best variety and highest quality Mexican food in Kearney, and some of the very best Mexican food in Nebraska.The menu is extensive, and of course features the usual variety of tacos, enchiladas, burritos and quesadillas. But the best items are the variety plates and specialty dishes, among them being the spectacular molcajete dishes, which offer enormous quantities and a wide varieties of high quality Mexican meats, fish and/or seafoods. Each order comes with tortillas, and a side plate filled with rice, beans, guacamole and pico de gallo. As beautiful as the presentations of these dishes are, they are even tastier to eat. The portions are certainly big enough to share. The restaurant itself is attractive without bring the least bit fancy. Customers come as they are. No need to dress up.Service is fast and efficient. Margaritas and beers are offered. Prices are low.
I used to go to np. Alot intill tonight.I havent gotten great service since our favorit waitress left. J.lynn we miss you..our food was slamed down in front of us when we asked about her. Our drinks ( tea) tasted stail. When i asked for xtra napkins the waitress pointed at them and said they are over there. We wont be back and we will be calling kearney..
