The best part of the Denver-Lincoln trek is Suwanee’s Silver Pockets! Since they serve them in sevens, expect a battle for the last one. This little gem tucked away in a strip mall also has plenty of tasty offerings for vegetarians.
Delicious! Had Basil Beef. A great choice if you like it HOT!
West Side Thai. Located across the road from UNK, this small Thai restaurant features a huge Thai menu, with something sure to please every hunger level and taste. The Mango Chicken entree features chunks of the sweet fruit, stir fry vegetables and chicken served in a hollowed out mango skin, with rice on the side. I actually ordered it with seafood in addition to the chicken, and received mussels, shrimp, scallops, calamari and salmon. It was quite a lot to eat, and it all was delicious. We also ordered the steamed dumplings, which essentially were shu mai. They were tasty as well. Nothing was especially spicy, but I suspect you can ask the kitchen to ramp up the heat as much as you wish.Service was friendly and reasonably prompt. Prices are about what you would expect.Note: they don’t serve any alcohol.
Me. and wife went to lunch and waited 45 minutes and they told us the wait. was 20 minutes. Finally sat down and ordered and received our food. i was so dissappointed it was so salty i could not eat it. like they dropped the salt bottle in it and still served it. will never go again.
Love Suwannee!. I go to Suwannee all the time. (at least once or twice a week) I have tried most of the menu items, and I have not found anything bad yet. My favorites are the spicy green beans and drunken noodles. There is a nice variety of dishes with pretty presentation and friendly staff.
Great food but poor service…. I suggest informing your staff about your student specials. Make sure they know what the website says so they don’t look dumbfounded when you ask what the student/faculty special is. Very dissatisfied.
