Bad service and below average food. Bejing Gate does not live up to the reviews posted all over the Internet . I went there with a friend and thought it was a restaurant, but come to find out it’s more self service. Sometimes these places are misleading so decided to try it hoping for the best. We considered leaving the moment we walked in as the place is pretty dumpy and not wel kept. Both ladies were on the phone taking orders at the counter, where you place your order. After one got off the phone she took our order and asked for a water to go with my meal. Little did we know that we had to grab a cup and poor a drink out of the coca cola fridge they have. I had to go and ask for a water after I ordered, didn’t see the water jug she was referring too so I grabbed a bottle of water. She then realized I got a bottle of water instead of realizing that I didn’t have water from the get go and made me pay $1.50 for an 8oz drink. Food is terrible and not worth the price they charge to have a restaurant in west Omaha. If you like Chinese food in West Omaha go to J.C. Mandarin or Grand Fortune as these two have better atmosphere, food, service, and justifiable prices.

Food is good but they are always out of menu items. Out of dumplings, out of spring rolls, and always out of eggplant. With all of the restaurant choices in Omaha, I’m not sure I will continue to support a place that never has the menu items that I want to order.
Good chinese. It’s good chinese. It will do for takeout. Veggies aren’t over-cooked and sauces aren’t bad. I hate when places make sauces too thick and heavy with corn starch. The soups are so-so, egg-rolls & other apps are typical. For takeout/fast chinese food in the area, I’d put it above Bo-Bo China, Hy-vee, and Panda Express. The people there have been very nice too.
Pretty Good. Had the sesame chicken and General Tso’s chicken. Both were pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Portion sizes were nice. Not the best Chinese takeout, but not the worst either. Would eat here again.
Love it.. Our favorite Chinese take out place. Great, fresh food for our family of four is ready in about 15-20 minutes. Nice size portions too. Not really a dine in facility if that’s what you’re looking for.Edit on 8/21/13 – Haven’t eaten here in quite a while. Last few visits exposed a disgusting kitchen and final experience was a take out phone order so garbled that I didn’t even know what was being ordered. I just had to cancel it. Won’t be back.
