We usually like coming to Julios and they are known for good fajitas. However, the other day we had lunch and ordered fish tacos and a hamburger from the gringo menu. The tacos had way too much sauce on them and the hamburger was too greasy. Not sure if we will be back, theirs better options in Omaha.

Downright Awful!. This is the first review I have ever posted for a restaurant. My family and in-laws ate at Julio’s tonight. We all went away feeling that it was one of the worst meals of our lives. My seafood enchilada had no sauce. I asked our waitress for a side of sauce and she gave me a small cup of what I suspect was wallpaper paste. The sauce tasted like basil, which surprised me considering basil is an italian spice. Words do not adequately describe how terrible our food tasted or how hungry one would have to be to eat it.
Gustatory. Had not been to Julio’s in years. Tried their new location on Center St. lured by a friend’s suggestion about Margarita Day. Pleasant result. Appetizer was a guacamole wrap thoroughly enjoyed by the four at the table. I have been sampling tostados around town. Julio’s is substantial with a delightful white rice with green pees. I will go back.
I recently ate at Julio’s and I tried the special of the day which happened to be street tacos. The waitress was very informative on my choices for the filling of the street tacos. She also said that they were running a special because Julio’s was adding them to their new menu. Instead of them being $7.95, they were $6.95. For the amount and quality of the meal when at $7.95 they would have been a great deal! The waitress did a great job of keeping my water full which is also a challenge since I drink a lot. The atmosphere was buzzing and busy as well as warm and inviting. I can’t wait to go back again! Thanks Julio’s
Poor service, moderately expensive, cheaply made and mediocre food. I went here with my girlfriend for dinner and ordered the steak fajitas while she opted for the black and blue enchilada. Despite ordering two entrees, we were never given or even offered chips and salsa which the menu says are complementary with a single entree. The fajitas not only had the smallest amount of meat I’ve ever seen for that price, but the onions and bell peppers were not cooked at all. The peppers were almost completely raw when they were brought out. The corn tortillas were not steamed very well and were still so cold that they broke apart when I tried to fill them up.I also never received the margarita I ordered, and our server flat out disappeared for a good 20 minutes near the end of our meal. Fortunately, her poor serving ability also kept her from remembering to charge us for the diet coke which my girlfriend ordered. The black and blue enchilada tasted fine, and the guacamole was good; however, I will not be coming to this establishment again. There are plenty of alternatives for Mexican/Tex Mex in the area which are both less expensive and taste much better.
Hmmm.. They seated us in the very back corner behind a wall.. We thought no big deal, maybe they want to start filling this section.. But they didn’t sit anyone else next to us for the next hour.. Was it because we were a black couple? Not sure and don’t want to assume that. I just didn’t like it and thought others should know 🙂
