The egg foo young here that my wife had is out of this world! The best I’ve ever had. Beef chow main witch I had, not so much. Edible though. Weird sauce almost bitter. Fried wontons great! Huge portions especially the egg foo youngs. Giant menu and big!Prices resonable. In all it was a great labor day meal.
Long-time favorite. Of all of the Chinese Restaurants I have tried in Omaha, this is one of the top and has been a favorite for years. Don’t let the 80’s decor scare you – the food is a cut above. Not even comparable to mose quick in quick out Chinese places.Their hot an sour soup is the best I have had with strips of pork, straw mushrooms, bamboo shoots and a perfectly seasoned broth. I have two favorite dishes – sesame chicken and hunan shrimp. The chicken is small chunks of chicken fried very crisp then bathed in a thick, rich and sweet (but not too sweet) sauce sprinkled with sesame seeds. The texture is what makes it so good – definitely not the soggy chicked nuggets you get elsewhere. The shrimp are decent sized and unbreaded, stirfried with fresh broccoli, baby corn, and a delicious and indescribable chili sauce. It has a little kick, but that is why I like it.
The Worst. The Lo Mein was just spaghetti with pork and canned mushrooms and the hot and sour soup tasted like Tabasco.
Best chinese in town. I have been eating here for years. Hot and sour soap is personal favorite. Great pricing and wonderful food, you just can’t go wrong!
Great place. One of my favorite restaurants for Chinese. All the dishes are very tasty with a reasonable price and a healthy serving. Service has always been very quick and professional each visit. Highly recommend the Tangerine Chicken & the Crab Rangoon are some of the best around.
Really Good Food. I love Panda House. A beautiful restaurant tucked into a southwest Omaha strip mall. This place has been serving artfully crafted and presented Chinese food for over two decades. Yes, the menu is huge, as most Chinese menus are. And yes, the prices are low, befitting the genre. What stands out here is simply the overall dining experience. You are dining in an attractive urban Chinese restaurant. Befitting the restaurant’s name, large artwork featuring pandas bedeck the walls. Service is prompt. We found the hot and sour soup to be excellent, as were the fried dumplings and especially the shrimp toast, which were plump and loaded with shrimp. The Royal Shrimp, on the other hand, was advertised as being spicy, which I wanted to experience. Unfortunately it was very mild, and while well cooked and ample in quantity, it lacked the pizzazz I was hoping for. Our other main dish, the Mandarin Pork, was very good.I was advised at the end of our meal that customers can ask for any dish to be spiced up.A full bar is offered. They have the excellent Tsing Tao beer, which goes perfect with Chinese food.
