That PIZZA!!! Excellent crust & dough! I got the … I think the Tommy Boy (buffalo chicken with ranch) and wow. A lot of times, these types of pizzas will be too salty or acidic because of the buffalo sauce. Not here! Plus, there is no shortage of TVs! Oh, and a cute waitress never hurts.
Varsity makes my favorite pizza in Omaha, the Over Under Romano. However, this location took 30 minutes to take my order and we had to leave after waiting more than another half hour for our food. I can’t believe waiting more than an hour without food.
Hot and Cheesy!. I stopped in for dinner last night with some friends. We seated ourselves outside on the patio. It was a little warm outside; however inside it was cold so we chose the fresh air. Waitress came out quickly to take our drink and appetizer order. We started off with fried sweet potatoes that were tasty. We stuck with the pizza for our meal. We ordered 1 cheese and 1 hamburger pizza. Both came out fairly quickly and were piping hot and very cheesy. We enjoyed both of them although one in our group thought that the dough tasted yeasty….the rest of us liked it. The sauce more on the tangy side opposed to sweet which I enjoy. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely visit again!!
Much Better This Time. I didn’t have a good experience the first time here. I had a couple recommendations for the pizza, and so I went over there with Ron for dinner.I got the medium meat lovers pizza. Excellent! The pie had the right amount of pepperoni, hamburger, and the like, and the right proportion of sauce. I got the hand tossed, the crust was perfect.The iced tea, BTW, still sux. I switched to Coke (why can’t places brew the real stuff?). Service was very good. My check was $18.45, and I have a couple pieces to eat in my hotel room this evening.They slice the pizza cross-hatched, different but OK. billhensley.wordpress.com
Delivery. Our office has ordered lunch from here on more than one occasion. Tommy Boy pizza is one of the guys favorite and the Thai pizza is a personal favorite that I’ve got the guys hooked on! If you plan ahead the hour delivery time is worth the wait. Only down side, they must have more than one cook as the amount of toppings is inconsistent from one order to another…good flavor none the less.
Cheese!. Wow, very greasy and cheesy…but I like it like that! Sadly for me, the rest of my family doesn’t quite agree. But if you are in for a thin crusted, cheese stretching, need-a-napkin pizza then this is definitely the place. Although I have only had the cheese and pepperoni pizzas, so it could be very different for the rest of them. I really enjoy their pizza, go to place.
Mozzerella Bread. This cheese bread is so good its hard to save room for pizza afterwords. In fact, this could be lunch or dinner by itself.28 Jan, 2012Stop for the bread sticks. Cool sports bar. Good pizza. Mozzerella bread sticks are out of this world. Have always had attentive service anytime I visit. Really enjoy the outdoor seating in warm weather. Enjoyable casual dining experience.
