Ok, I have to start out by saying I usually shy away from a menu like this and was very hesitant to try anything off this menu. The only reason I was going here was for a family birthday. One of the best dinning experiences I’ve had in Omaha. Short ribs cavatelli is so amazing words can’t express! Also can’t go wrong with the imperial wagyu beef and T.D. niche pork ragu. Good rossoto too and chorizo Mac and cheese. Bathroom was not so good though. Especially for a place like this.
My fianc and I were surprised at the limited menu selection but for an upscale bistro and four course meal we left beyond satisfied. Excelled food, cozy atmosphere and even on a Friday night at 7pm, we called last minute and were seated right away. It is a bit pricy but fortunately there is a wonderful Groupon that Dolce has and it took $40 off our check. Highly recommend for date night!
Chef Anthony has brought Summer to Dolce. Sailfish, watermelon, beets, pineapple, avocado, ponzu celery, pumpkin seed, noriA must have dish. Every flavor is perfectly balanced. I could eat this every night, please!30 Dec, 2014Chef Anthony is Keeping Dolce on the Top Ten List. As regular diners at Dolce, I cannot say enough about how good the food is! I encourage you to get yourself there and enjoy the cuisine. chef Anthony and his staff craft amazing dishes and their platings are beautiful. This past Sunday, they presented a champagne dinner that knocked our socks off! The smoked salmon was perfectly smoked and plated with caviar, potatoes rosti, egg (cut like a flower and a center of yellow yolk) all underplated with a dill crime. The salmon had a butter texture and perfect flavor. The second course, mushroom tart. The truffle espuma and chvre were amazing.Next came a pan seared scallop, perfectly cooked and plated on saffron risotto with grapefruit squares to cut the buttery richness. The center cut pork loin chop was plated with braised Swiss chard and fennel (soaked in vinegar and a tad of sugar and rinsed). This pickled it and added a beautiful and tasty addition. A beet pure added a great flavor but best of all made for a very beautiful presentation.Dessert was a brioche donut with white chocolate, lemon curd and earl grey whipped cream. The lemon curd was the best I have had in a restaurant any where. I wanted to be the stingy child and take a whole bowl to the corner and devour it! I do not take photos of my food in restaurants. But I wish I had to show everyone how beautiful all the courses were. The event no was so memorable as Chef Anthony and his staff did a fantastic job.
Wine. Drink
$$$$ Establishment???. We used a Groupon coupon to dine there for our first time. That said, lets cut to the issue of price versus ambience. We were seated at 2 person table 64. In our two hours there we were leaning forward to be able to hear each other over the 2 person tables on both sides of us. We really felt bad a young couple sat two tables next to us with two bar drinkers leaning over their shoulders on the divider partition. We won’t be back.
I had an awesome meal here tonight. The food was spectacular and the service was great. One of the best meals I’ve had in Omaha.
