We tried JIS for the first time with some friends celebrating their anniversary. We all were extremely satisfied with the service and food! The Parmesan crusted sirloin with stuffed shrimp was amazing. All our steaks were cooked perfectly!!!

Expensive sad and tired food!. We have been to Steak Thursdays that were great. A special dinner disappointed us with a tired overworked waitress. First, the appetizers left a lot to be desired and you call them appetizers? The toasted ravioli was cold, fried to much that made them like biting into cardboard. The bruschetta came to the table soggy with the too many chopped tomatoes and whomever made this dish did not add enough basil and overcompensated with way too much for this dish to be called a bruschetta. More like a chopped tomato sandwich/salad. Next, the salads looked and tasted like the waitress pulled the greens from the bottom of the salad crisper. Dressings were poor tasting and she even mixed up the salad orders with the salad dressings. At this point, we all realized this was spiraling downward very fast and exchanged salads to the correct persons at our table. The entrees were so disastrous that those at our table left portions on our dishes uneaten. The marinara sauces to the lasagna, chicken parmesan, and Minnelli was flat tasting and inexpertly made for consumption or to be called an Italian sauce so proudly boasted to be an Italian sauce. The chicken mediera was thrown onto the plate that it was homely, cold, unappetizing and had no flavor. The waitress even forgot to bring the side of rice or risotto the waitress called it and it did not even Dawn on her after mentioning she forget the side for this person at our table. At this point we were so turned off by this restaurant that we politely declined dessert and left as soon as we paid our bill. I can honestly say we will not return to this restaurant or be patrons of Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse. The gentle comment email sent to this eatery had gone unanswered and reflects this restaurant does not give much care to the patrons they are turning away. This restaurant is going downhill fast and it is a shame for West Omaha to possibly be losing a restaurant of this nature with so few steakhouses remaining in the Omaha metro area!

Pricey but Tasty. Nice restaurant…staff not too attentive, but adequate. Waitress was not too familiar with the menu though. We sat outside, it was such a beautiful day. We ordered the Mediterranean salad and beef sandwich combo and the Basilico Pasta with Shrimp. Both were tasty and hit the spot. Still, very expensive. While we enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing lunch, I wonder if The Olive Garden was just as good and a lot less expensive. We’ll probably be back if/when we shop at Village Pointe again but will likely try out some of the other restaurants first.

We decided to try a place we’d never been for our anniversary. That was a mistake. The steaks were ok but we’ve had better at outback for a lot less money. The stuffed shrimp tasted so bad I had to leave them on the plate. Our server was attentive but apparently he is unable to smile or show any personality at all. And we ordered the spicy shrimp appetizer and it came with 3. very tiny fried shrimp. Seriously? The place was half empty on Friday night. I know why.

It used to be good, but the food has really disappointed over our last few visits. They used bacos (bacon-flavored salad topping) in my loaded baked potato. That was just on of many shortcuts they took that will preclude me from returning.
