Some of these reviews I see are pretty old, YEARS OLD on fact, so it’s time to shed light on whats happening now!Brugos Pizza in Carson City has been around a while. In fact, this is their original location opened by the original owners. They have since moved to Arizona and open another Brugos there as the one in Reno closed. Currently there is another owner for this Carson location and she is doing a mighty fine job of keeping the restaurant open and running all while not letting the quality of the food and service slip as can happen in these trying economic times. No cutting corners here. Now let me first address some of the main complaints I see about Brugos on many of these online review sites. One of the main complaints is that the food takes too long or the pizza is slow to be served. Well, this isnt your typical fast food pizza chain kinda pizza. The pizza is rolled by hand as opposed to one of those auto rollers used at some chains, you know the ones that they drop a ball of dough in between 2 spinning rollers and out pops your pizza on the other end? Not here. A quality pizza like the kind served here at Brugos, takes time. You want mass produced pizza with fake cheese go to Straw Hat and the like. So, OK, the pizza takes maybe 30 min to come out or maybe a little more if you are not the only pizza in line to be made. Relax! Have a drink and hopefully enjoy the company you came while conversing in enlightening conversation! This is an adult fine dining restaurant with a great list of fine wines and beers to choose from. If you are looking for a romper room screeching children kinda place with a wall of video game machines, you better go elsewhere. So, if you really cant wait for the pizza, ya know what? Just call it in in advance! Problem solved!Second on the complaint list is the prices. Yes, the prices here are above what you might pay at some chain pizza joint, but remember folks, this is fine dining with pizza as an alternative to steak and seafood. This is high end quality pizza here, and if you want high end, you gotta pay …. Fact of life. No fake cheeses here, only high quality sausages and meats. Even the pesto is house made on the spot! Yes, pesto on pizza is incredible. If you really want to enjoy wine here, and dont want to pay regular prices, come on Wed. half off wine night! Half off beer night is Tues. If you just need a big ol pizza to stuff the children with or to bring to a pot luck, youd be better off at Costco for $10 for a pizza so big it wont fit in your oven. Remember folks, this is fine dining with out the steak and seafood prices! If you think you are worth high quality things in life, this is a place for you.Pizza is not the only food offered here. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and salads as well. Pizza is served by the slice weekdays at lunch as well and includes soft drink too! During good weather, outdoor dining is also available in the rear. The pizza choices are only limited my your imagination with a large selection of toppings available. There are some very unique house special pizzas already combined with delicious toppings, if you imagination is too tired to figure out all your own toppings. I know mine is quite frequently! They even have chorizo as a topping! Heck yeah! To see the menu, just go online to their website.I have never been disappointed with the food, service or prices here. I know what Im getting into coming here and I know to keep expectations realistic. This is one of the best kept secrets in Carson, come check it out and relax after a hectic day of life …. You deserve this!

Poor use of poor quaility ingredients. You can get a better salad at Reds and a better pizza from dominos. Tastes like they purchase their ingredients from walmart and that you are eating over processed food with too many calories and little nutritional value. If I wanted to ear junk food, I didn’t need to spend $70 to do that. Do some traveling to the east coast and Chicago to see how to run a pizzaria and instead of wasting money on tables from Italy – go to Italy to learn how to use good ingredients to make good food. I won’t come back based on tables – I go back to places based on tastes.
