  Best Chinese Resaurant In Carson City. I’ve tried almost all the Chinese restaurants in Carson City and this has got to be the best! I came for lunch the last time.Looking over the menu, I notice they offer a limited amount of dim sum choices. I’ll have to check that out later. I see roast duck in various forms on the menu…now things are looking up! They offer many different noodle soups along with the usual Chinese dishes we are used to seeing. I went for the roast duck lunch special for $6.45. The specials include soup and egg roll with chow mien or fried rice. Such a deal! My BF ordered the General and his chicken ($5.95). I’m givin’ him the eye, like whatta you doin’ ordering that? Hey, I have to have something standard to judge by, right? OK, you got a point there. Our food came out on a timely manner and our water glasses were kept filled. First the soup arrived. Pretty standard egg flower soup. The entrees were quite large, no complaints on the serving size here! I had the chow mien with my duck. The food was super hot when it arrived, fresh out of the wok! My duck looked to be about a 1/4 duck with a breast and leg thigh combo cut up. The meat was tasty and the skin was my fave! The chow mien was wok seared well and had that burned wok flavor I like. Pretty good for standard lunch special house chow mien. The General’s chicken was actually a very good rendition of it. Breading not too thick and just spicy enough. There were lots of other items on the menu to try for dinner. OK, so now I have to take back what I said about another damn Chinese restaurant in town. This one rocks! and now I know why….a good friend of mine just went and found out the cook is from the Chinese Duck House in Reno. He cooked there for 13 years. No wonder the menu sort of looked familiar. The cook said he would even cook the pan fried tomato beef noodles I love so much at the Duck House. Great food and reasonable prices! It’s close to downtown and in a familiar location, so I hope they do well.01 Sep, 2014Tomato Beef Pan Fried Noodles. This is a dish of delectable crispy fried thin egg noodles topped with tender beef, tomatoes, onions and bell peppers all accompanied in a wonderful tomato sauce with a hint of vinegar. The texture of the crispy noodles underneath combining with the intoxicating toppings, makes for a quite scrumptious meal in itself! No other restaurant in town offers this authentic Cantonese dish, still quite popular in the SF Bay Area.
