Meh. Not the best of southern food (I have family in NC and SC). Nothing special and super plain. The only thing that was good was the sweet tea, honey butter and sweet potato pie. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, cat fish and shrimp. We never got a refill on our hush puppies but that is okay because they are plainer than corn bread. You have to dip it in the honey butter for flavor. No seasoning on the rest of the food. If they just used salt and pepper at least in the batter it would be so much better. Our waitress was really nice and friendly. Been driving by this place for years and finally tried it. Now I know I am not missing out on much.
Awful. Boring out of the bag salad bar. Don’t miss the wilted green onions.Fried shrimp is the flat crunchy kind that are mass produced with little shrimp taste. The ribs were dry. The catfish tasted funny. Crawfish rice sounded so good! Was so bad! II NEVER leave food on my plate. I left at least half of it. No wonder they can offer all you can eat. Not good enough to ask for more. The building is run down. Needs paint and the outside is overgrown with grass and weeds.
Really good. Went here hearing about how good their hush puppies were which I never had before and they were not wrong. Could not get enough of them and also everything else I ordered was very good as well. I was a little nervous since I do not like seafood, but they have a pretty big selection of non-seafood entrees which I enjoyed very much
Mediocre food & service at best. Fried shrimp was ok, fried clams & catfish were nothing special. Chicken was delicious but, not what we went for or expected. Everyone but our server was friendly & nice sadly. Hush puppies were plain.
The HushPuppy … *groan*. One of the reviewers here had it right on the money. The honey butter, and the fried green tomatoes. A little salty but perhaps better than Lucille’s BBQ. My fries were soggy and the puppies themselves indeed have no flavor.
CRAB LEGS PALOOZA. This restaurant is awesome and well worth it on Monday nights!! All you can eat crab legs! $25 a person comes with All you can eat Crab Legs, the salad bar, hush puppies and french fries (if you like). SOO GOOD! This Hush Puppy Restaurant is on W.Charleston and Antelope. Its busy at night so don’t be surprised if you have a 30-45 min wait. But that wait is well worth the crab legs…if you LOVE crab legs.
