My boyfriend and I shared lunch here today. We got the sausage and peppers pizza with a small Greek salad and the spicy cheese bread. It was delicious, with bigger portions than we thought. This is a great place for a quick bite.
Decent pizza – especially given that it’s a walk up and choose your base, toppings and type of pizza place. The pizza is quick. I wish I could also choose my customer service level. Some smiles and energy would serve them well. It’s pizza for gods sake guys. Smile.
Nice pizza joint with great salads, house made gourmet sorbets with a $6.99 pizza of the day posted to their Instagram Monday through Friday. The service here was attentive and never lacking. Good quality for the price and definitely worth checking out.
Decided to order their chicken pizza with a few veggie toppings. Serving time was around 45 minutes to the room. Pizza was good. They have an option to pick and choose the base, the sauces and almost all the ingridients.
Think Outside the Pizza Box. Neapolitan pizzas have become all the rage back from where I come from in Fort Worth. Importing the pizza ovens from Italy and then getting a license from Naples stating that this is true Neapolitan pizza seems like a lot of ado over nothing, but it has become big business. I guess 800 Degrees have been around Las Vegas for over a year now with the original at the Monte Carlo. The one here at the SLS Hotel has been open for just a little while and it is a force to be reckoned with. Another fast casual restaurant, you can either select your own ingredients or choose one of their recommended pies. The suggest using no more than three ingredients so as not to overpower the delicate sauce, and I agree. They spread out the dough and place all of the ingredients that you select right on it. Then they slide a pizza paddle underneath all this and place it in an 800 degree oven for 60 seconds.I just ordered one of their Sausage and Peppers pizza with fresh mozzarella and caramelized onions and wowie, this knocked me out with the combination of flavors. I need to warn you that this pizza is not going to be for everyone’s taste. The center of the pizza is very soft and mushy. You should correctly use a knife a fork to eat this pizza. It really is very good, if can get beyond the difference in texture. It is not a New York pizza and certainly is not Chicago style. It is a beautiful pie. Each one runs about $12-$15. The atmosphere here is deafening to say the least. I guess it is a party within a casino restaurant but it kind of detracts from the eating enjoyment. The casino lost power for about 15 seconds while we were ordering and we were suddenly in total darkness. Not sure what happened, but thankfully it was just a slight hiccup in the proceedings. My friend liked his pizza. He selected the toppings from the massive number that they had on hand. We both recommend 800 Degrees if you are into thinking outside the pizza box.12 Apr, 2015Sausage & Peppers. This is one of their signature pizzas. I would consider it a classic already.
If you build you ultimate pizza it is a little pricy however delicious! The tartufo and add prosciutto!! The bottom is extra crispy but just adds flavor.
