I went in wanting something light and refreshing so I ordered the adzuki bean shaved ice. What I got was a giant bowl of adzuki beans and assorted fruit (which, admittedly wasn’t all that terrible) with a few tablespoons of ice and a couple of teaspoons of sweetened condensed milk. In their defense, they had lots of pastries and beautifully decorated cakes on display. It’s just too bad that’s not what I went in there for. So much for light and refreshing.

Crown Bakery. We were looking forward to trying this bakery. We were hoping for pork buns and asian pastry . There was not much in their case. All the pastry were individually packaged. i’m sure they were fresh, but not the same experience as bringing them home in a pink box. They did not have any pork buns or savory items. The pastry were just ok, far from being amazing. Would not return.

One of the best Asian bakeries in Vegas. Environment is very calming with cute European style decor. Pastries here are great: not too sweet, light, and very flavorful. My favorite is the Coconut Bun: wing-shaped bun with a light, coconut butter cream filling. The dough is sweet and complemented by the light, coconut cream, yet rich filling from the butter. Some of their other things there are chalky and bland by themselves, bur I’m sure they’re to be accompanied by coffee of some sort, which they DO offer. I’m not a coffee person so I don’t know how their coffees are. They also have these hotdog/cheese buns and ham/cheese buns that have peas, mayonnaise, onion, and other veggies coupled with their sweet doughs that make for a surprisingly awesome lunch. The service is pleasant and the pricing very nice to where I can easily walk away with two large bags of pastries. Yeah, this place makes me wanna drop dime each time I come. And they know it. 😀
