I will preface this review by saying that I lived in Singapore for 10 years and traveled many times to Hong Kong. I ate at MANY highly regarded Dim Sum Restaurants in both places with my Chinese friends and colleagues. I also ate at highly reputable Dim Sum restaurants in Chinatowns of New York, San Francisco and Toronto and also ate at arguable the best Dim Sum restaurant in Las Vegas, Ping Pang Pong.Dim Sum Caf is the closest Dim Sum restaurant to my home and I have been meaning to try it for some time. I will say I was HIGHLY disappointed on MANY levels. I waited to be seated for almost 10 minutes while there were MANY tables empty. I waited another 5 minutes before I received a place setting, menu and asking for my beverage order in the mean time a party who arrived 10 minutes after me received it all from the same waitress.I ordered tea and received a pot of tea with LUKE WARM water and ONE tea bag. A TEA BAG in a DIM SUM restaurant. The tea was diluted and got cold quickly.I had order Shumai, Har Gow and BBQ Pork Rice Noodle to start off with. The Rice Noodle arrived 5 minutes later warm at best. It took almost 30 minutes to get my Shumai and Har Gow.I was about to leave. This was the worst Dim Sum I ever had given my experience above, compounded by the wait time, bad service and cold weak tea. I will never go back. I will drive 3x as far and go to Ping Pang Pong.
The food is excellent. fresh served hot and each dish had its unique seasoning. The review before me is so wrong. unfair to this relatively new business. I have been 3 times and had delivery twice. Hong Kong style I recommend!
