Disclaimer: Im a fan of this place for personal reasons. FYI: although on the same property. Do not confuse Atomic Liquors with Atomic Kitchen. Like many or all of the bars in downtown Las Vegas, Atomic brings the heat when it comes to their cocktails (the word mixology makes me wanna punch people). And as often as I would like to try a wonderful cocktail there, their beer selection is one of the best and most unusual Ive seen, anywhere on the globe. You will not be inundated with too many IPAs or yellow beer. And they definitely represent our local breweries as well.Atomics notorious history is part of Vegas legend. Try and find their time capsule!Im not really sure what else they could do to improve joint. Except maybe for the music, which I dont dislike… probably if I played what I wanted to hear, nobody would show up.
After receiving recommendations to check this place out from both our friends and the bartenders/mixologists from Oak & Ivy we had to go. Its a nice short walk from the Freemont Experience you can see the Container Park and various art installations along the way. Yes, sometimes you run into shady people on the way there who just asks for change or drugs but just be aware of your surroundings as you should be anyways. The place is described as a dive bar (perhaps because it is pretty dark inside) but its actually quite clean and comfortable inside not just the seating but the overall vibe being laid back and relaxed. They had a great selection of drinks and this ranges from beers, cocktails, whiskeys, etc; friendly and knowledgeable staff and you get to learn a little bit about the history of Vegas (hey, Im a tourist after all).
