Top notch place. They make their own chips, salsa is a little Americanized but still very good, and of course the tamales were excellent. The atmosphere was nice and the service staff outstanding.
I’ve been living in Vegas officially 3 months and living in northern California for 12 years has given pretty good insight on Mexican and Asian foods. Dona Maria is down the street from where I work so I decided to do a take out order. Ordered 3 carne asada tacos. They were average the meat was cooked well, but it seemed lack in flavor. But it was decent the cilantro was fresh in the onions fresh. I would consider dinning in to get better experience of their menu.
Best value and best meal we had in Vegas!
Amazing breakfast available anytime. Inexpensive and close to The Strip. This is a great little gem and is rarely crowded.
R U kidding me?. After years of passing this place, I finally wanted to check this place out. This is the worst Mexican food ever. I would rather eat at TACO BELL. One of the Latino guys that work there, laughed with me when he served my plate, because he knew the look of disgust on my place. If you like authentic Mexican food, don’t eat here. Try Bonito Michoacan on Twain and Decauter. There are plenty of people who like this poor excuse for a Mexican meal, worst than Gringo food.
Best Tamales in Vegas?. Perhaps so. When I can’t just hop on a plane to Mexico, or at least Orange County, it’s good to stop here. The green chile & cheese tamal has a nice spicy kick. And the pineapple & raisin sweet tamal is so satisfying, it’ll make you wonder why more pastry chefs haven’t yet discovered the wonders of masa. Now if only I could find something like this in Henderson…
Delicious!. This place is simply amazing. It doesn’t look too amazing on the outside to the casual passerby, but– Once you are inside their pleasant staff takes care of you very well. The Tamales were the reason we were there, but we had the plate that came with a tamale and an enchilada. The chicken tamale was awesome, and so was the cheese and green chile one. The enchilada was nice and the enchilada sauce was nice! Their salsa was very fresh and had a superb tomato flavor. Very low-key place and we wish we didn’t live so far away or we’d be regulars here!
