Hugo’s was recommended to us by the doorman at Golden Nugget as Vic and Anthony’s was booked up. The host found us a table despite being quite busy! Definitely an old school steak house! The meal began with assorted rolls and bread. The salad was mixed at your table individually giving each person a choice of their toppings! A nice lemon sorbet cone to clean our palate’s. Then the main course! Two had prime rib, one filet mignon and one had tart cherry chicken! All were excellent! A nice dessert plate of dipped strawberries, figs and apricot! Great service, taste and quality!
Hugo’s Cellar is located in old Vegas in a Hotel named Four Queens. Once you enter the hotel casino you walk towards the back right and walk down a set of stairs to an old tavern feel restaurant. If you are with a lady, she will receive a rose. An excellent wine list with a table side salad selection. High-end prices with a slightly above average meals.
Hugo’s is always fabulous but in a very traditional way. One feels as if Frankie and Sammy might be dining in the next booth. Lobster bisque and beef Wellington are still served here and most excellent. Not trendy nor inexpensive, just real fine dining. theglobetrotterfoodie.wordpress.com
Don’t get thrown off by its location in the 4 Queens! This restaurant is beautiful and classy. Truly a throwback to a bygone era. Old school Vegas at its best. Each woman is handed a long stemmed rose by the matre d. Once you are seated, the service is beyond reproach. I have never had better wine service at any restaurant in the world. The sommelier is knowledgeable, personable and makes the experience great. The food is wonderful. Old school steakhouse with table side salad service. Have never had anything short of an excellent meal. Highly recommended!
All we can say is WOW. We have eaten at a few other steakhouses on the strip, but nothing had the character of Hugo’s! Our waiter has been working here for over 30 years. Each lady is greeted with a red rose. The salad is made table side and it is impeccable. We all ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection! I highly recommend Hugo’s!
Exceptional Meal!. I do not normally review restaurants, but we had such an amazing meal at Hugo’s I just had to! Service and staff was amazing, timing was perfect. But the food…. It was exceptional!! I cannot wait to go back. This is now a yearly vacation stop!
Took my daughter here for her first seven-course meal, and Hugo’s delivered in a grand way. Our meal was fantastic. Salad very fresh, main course outstanding, and the Bananas Foster served over vanilla bean ice cream was a delectable finishing touch. Great meal and dining experience.
