Average food, great service. The service was great but the dishes just lacked the spark that one would expect. Had the Braised Lamb Shank with Red Zinfandel Sauce, and the wine just did not come out. The associated linguine was also uninteresting since the sauce was so ordinary. The Seafood Bouchee with Sauce Champagne Saffranee was had a sauce that was uninspiring, and the scallop was watery. The shrimp was fine, but not after having shrimp at Ping Pang Pong (great shrimp). For the frogs legs again the sauce was only ok. The Grand Marnier souffl was tasty, but I think I would have had a sauce instead of just ice cream and whipped cream. However the wait staff was fantastic, with the waiter taking a lot of time to help us select our meal.

My husband and I went here for a romantic dinner. Ambiance and environment were perfect! It may not look like much from the outside, but the inside is cozy, intimate, and charming. Its rare for me to come across and maitre d, waiter, and beverage attendant waiting hand and foot. Service was surprisingly attentive to detail, serving, and setting etiquette which, again is a rare gem. Its been a long time since I’ve been served the ‘proper’ way! Food presentation and quality was excellent. I ordered the escargot for an appetizer, and finished off the sauce with their oncoming flown-in bread from Quebec. After the veal, I finished with the grand marnier souffle. We ended up ordering the prixe fix four course meal. George, the owner, came to greet and chat for awhile. Very charming with his French accent. Definitely helps you feel you are in a completely different place other than right down the Vegas strip! I could’ve been in a Chateau with a vineyard covering the countryside right out the door! Love this place and will definitely come back again!

Very Nice Experience. Enjoyed a very nice/romantic anniversary dinner here. The staff were attentive and helpful, Prices were very reasonable. Rack of lamb was excellent, as was the veal chop. Escargot and fettuccini appetuzers were great. The complimentary Crudite basket consisting of endives, olives and raw vegtables was a nice touch. The property itself has seen better times, but it was fun to imagine being there back in the 70’s with Sinatra and his gang. Sadly, it keeps on getting harder to find these restaurant gems.

A very worthy restaurant. This is my all time favorite restaurant in Las Vegas. The food and wine have always been superb and the waitering excellent. I have always enjoyed the maitre d’s remarks and knowledge of the menu. There has never been the snootiness I experienced at their past competitor’s on 6th Street. The crudite of fresh vegetables are refreshing and a nice beginning while deciding what to order. I highly recommend this fine restaurant for its unique place in Las Vegas’ history.

Very Good Country French. Pamplemousse is a bit of a hidden gem.The room is small, cozy, and has a ton of Rat Pack era photos on the walls. The evening starts off a basket of complimentary crudites with a well balanced vinaigrette. I started off with the Fettucine a la George, a Frank Sinatra favorite. The duck breast and confit entree was superb. The wine list was adequate. Service was casually attentive. Pamplemousse is a very good value, as prices are 1/2 to 1/3 that of Alex, Picasso, Andres, etc. The restaurant is located in a fringe area of East Saraha. Take a cab each way. Worth a return visit.

Wow! While I am used to excellent food here, they just outdid themselves – every dish ordered at my table was among the best I’ve ever had. This place is incredible!

Updates for Pamplemousse. Las Vegas favorite French Restaurant Pamplemousse le restaurant – now open for lunch Mondays through Fridays and dinner seven days a weekLas Vegas – Pamplemousse le restaurant, just off the Strip on East Sahara and Paradise, celebrates its 35th birthday this year and some exciting changes are afoot.Founder George LaForge hand picked Jean-David Daudet and his wife Lee Ann to join him in the operation and ownership of the 85 seat restaurant. Daudet hails from the Burgundy region of France, where he owned and operated his own acclaimed restaurant, Le Trou Poinchy, for twelve years before moving to Las Vegas as the Executive Chef for Drais at the Barbary Coast. Daudet began his career training under Marc Meneau of LEsperance long known as one of Frances culinary institutions. He spent four years with Meneau as his 2nd in command, and another five years combined as chef at the Michelin starred restaurants La Bergerie and La Gaichel in Luxembourg. Daudets wife Lee Ann is an American who is fluent in French after time spent in Europe as a film producer and casting director. She also works as the Director of External Affairs for Blue Man Group. What Georges LaForge created in Pamplemousse is a very special place where friends gather and enjoy great food. My goal is to keep all that is wonderful about the restaurant the charming candlelit rooms, the waiters reciting the menu, the classic dishes like Duck, the Lamb, and the Veal, the crudit basket, olives and French bread that we deliver to each table. Daudet has added a few of his own specialties including a Chilean Sea Bass cooked with soy and ginger, Salmon with Spinach in a Puff Pastry, a Tomato and Goat Cheese Tarte and some new deserts including a Chocolate Volcano Fondant and a Grand Marnier Souffl. Were using a greater amount of organic ingredients, and have expanded the wine list particularly the wines from France and California. The restaurant is now open for lunch Monday through Friday with a special bistro menu that includes classics like the Croque Monsieur, Moules Frites and Coq au Vin, as well as a variety of salads and soups. Located two blocks east of the Las Vegas strip at 400E. Sahara, Pamplemousse le Restaurant is open seven days a week for dinner from 5:30 10PM. Lunch is served from 11:30AM 3PM. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling (702) 733-2066 or via email at pamplemousserestaurant.com. The restaurant is also available for private parties and weddings.
