On our last trip to Las Vegas my wife and I were finding ourselves getting quite hungry and ducked into the Paradise Caf and buffet. The buffet was closed but they were still taking restaurant style patrons. We were met with a wonderful server named Ken who took excellent care of us and was attentive to all of our questions. My wife decided on the steak sandwich and myself, being somewhat of a snob when it comes to Ruben sandwiches, took Ken’s advice and ordered the house Reuben. The service was fairly quick but the sandwiches were out of this world. My wife could not stop raving about how tender the beef was on her steak sandwich and it having the appropriate amount of flavoring and heft to make her appetite disappear. Now my Reuben was exactly what I hoped for, a heaping mound of pastrami that was super tender with no fatty strings or gristle. It was made to perfection and the sauerkraut was the proper mixture to give a good balance to this Reuben snob’s palette. Certainly not difficult sandwiches to make but the quality of food, the overall tastiness and the excellent service make this a winner in our book. In fact my wife raved so much about that sandwich we went back there and had another one the next day.
The food was mediocre at best the first time we tried it. We assumed it was because it was later in the evening so we gave it another shot. Big mistake and waste of $35. Steak was dry, roast beef was dry, the cake was dry, but the noodles for the spaghetti were drowned in water. Bad. Just bad. Good wait staff but the chefs look like they hate their job with a passion.
Exceptional Tropical Garden like experience…. loved it !! visited with my mom, dad and my lovely wife … they have a palatable selection of American comfort food, Italian , Mexican food. Nice steak and pork ribs… a great selection of deserts…. salads… overall it is very reasonably priced too. Walk outside … and you get the amazing Fremont Street experience… what else do you need !!
Nice hotel, cut rate buffet!!!. Stayed at the Freemont hotel and decided to try the buffet as we were given a discount. The service was pretty good and staff seemed friendly enough however very busy. The food on the whole was really not that bad but was all cold. I like my food hot and always worry about how long the food has sat there when it is cold. The atmosphere was pleasant but would not return .
Wonderful service, beautiful cafe, great food! Wonderful overall experience!
