Will return!! We came with lots of ?s & curiosity. Waitress was helpful & cheerful. Chicken Szechuan was AMAZING! The eggplant & frog legs werent spicy as stated but sauces were so rich & perfectly done. Frog legs were great, though tiny bones are a drawback. Got a taro smoothie & it tasted like a light, creamy, grape flavored almond milk smoothie. Perfect dessert. All food is made when ordered fresh so it does take awhile.

Revelation. We were welcomed by our waitress and seated in a booth. I had several notes culled from various websites, but solicited the waitress’ input. We ended up sharing orders of green onion pancake, XLB (steamed juicy pork buns), eggplant in garlic spicy sauce plus rice and tea. Everything was delicious, but the pork buns were a revelation.16 Feb, 2010Mixed results. 4/29/09 lunch. We were welcomed by our waitress and seated in a booth. I had several notes culled from published reviews and discussion boards, but solicited the waitress’ input on what to order. We ended up sharing orders of P28 – green onion pancake, P 23- steamed juicy pork buns, H96 – eggplant in garlic spicy sauce plus rice and tea. Everything was delicious, but the pork buns were a revelation. 4 Forks out of a possible 5. 12/12/09 revisit for dinner. We shared orders of shrimp with special hot chili sauce and chicken prepared with three special sauce and basil. The shrimp were served with the heads, but the biggest problem was they had been mishandled (refrozen?) and were mealy. We fared better with the chicken dish. 2 Forks out of a possible 5.

I ordered the Mongolian beef and combination chow mein. The beef was alright but the noodle dish was inedible. The sesame oil they used made the noodles taste like vomit and the dish’s overall orange color only helped cement that analogy. I will never go back.

The food was awful. My chicken was overcooked and the noodle dish was horrible. I will never come back and will never recommend this place to anybody.

Kung-pao shrimp. I stopped going to Chinese restaurants when I discovered Thai food, but China Mama has brought me back with hot sour soup, green onion pancakes, and my favorite: the kung-pao shrimp.

Absolutely Divine!. I went to China Mama on a whim one day, andkeep coming back–It is hard to find good, authentic chinese food, for me, at least. I have never been disappointed here yet. The steamed jjuicy pork buns are worth the wait! Steaming hot and the pork is s tender and flavored with ginger. I also highly recommed the cold jellyfish salad, it has such wonderful crispness and vinegary bite. The staff is super friendly and the food is always delicious and fresh. The prices are also extremely reasonable. I love this place!!
