Finally had a chance to stop by. Strong menu with a lot of variety. Bustling atmosphere kinda loud and it’s seems to be a great place for small and large parties. Seems to be very popular we had about a 36 minute wait. Plenty of TVS and people watching to keep you occupied. Staff was polite they asked if it was our first time. With that our waitress Allie was very helpful she took the time explaining the menu. Start off with the Catfish corn on the cob with Cajun fries. Cajun flavor. Also pound of King Crab Legs. 1/2 pound of sausage garlic flavor. I was pleased with all the food. Definitely a great family spot and a nice place for Date night. Awesome food.
THE best lobsters and prawns I’ve tried so far! I am lost for words but I can go crazy about how well-seasoned the food they serve. Will definitely be back!
Hype Beast Boiling CrabWhen we entered, our server came right away and was very informative. She knew it was our first time so she gave us a detailed instruction of how to order. She even showed us how to break a crab leg properly. The cajun fries were seasoned perfectly and all amazingly crispy. I didn’t even have to have a battle with my friend on who gets the crispy ones. The shabang sauce tastes like an explosion of garlic cajun lemon pepper heaven. Who knew this fabulous concoction even existed? This restaurant is a place I will come back to every time I go to Vegas.
I hate to give a restaurant 5/5 because it makes me look like an easy grader. But, sometimes you just encounter the top 5% of restaurants that deserve a 5/5. This one is it. From the oceanic atmosphere as you walk in to the super friendly team of staff helping you out, everything screams perfect from the get-go. You then start to panic and wonder what would disappoint you. Nope – nothing comes your way but good stuff. Friendly server that asked if it was our first time here to teaching us how to eat and what to order. Really, there is nothing more awesome out there than this! I was waiting for something to erase my horrible experience at Hot and Juicy Crawfish. This place did it. Memory erased like the M.I.B.The catfish and fries were to die for. I know catfish sounds cheap and it probably is cheap but they prepared it so well. The batter was spotless. It was not greasy, it was piping hot, and it was enough to hold the juices inside the catfish. The fries were also amazing – crispy and perfectly deep fried to complement the cat fish. It was really one bite after another, alternating between fish and fries, I think that’s what heaven will really feel like one day. Beer. Catfish. Fries. Repeat. Nom. The clams and shrimps were good. I think we got a second order of clams even. The calamari was nice too. Everything felt like an orchestra. It was like a food orchestra in my mouth! All of the food was just singing to me and I was enjoying every bite rhythmically. One regret I do have is not ordering beer. That would have really sealed the deal. I wish they had these types of restaurants in Canada. We desperately need it. Vancouver has nice seafood – why not season it like this and be all Southern about it? 🙂 I guess there is just nothing good to eat north of the wall huh… 😉
I have to say that I went to The Boiling Crab to see how it compares to one of my favorites in Vegas, Hot n Juicy Crawfish. The place is much larger, overall service was OK, my server did a great job but there was quite a wait with almost half the tables empty. I went here to watch a football game because another reviewer said they had TVs all over and they do. I always get the Hot n Juicy ExtraSpicy at HnJ so I got the Whole Chabang XXX as a comparable choice. Great heat and good flavor but not as good as HnJ for me. I would still recommend this one, especially with a big group or large family because of the size and space. Also if you want to watch a game, they have a lot of TVs, sports bar style…
Fresh, but won’t go back. The fresh shrimp was excellent, but the slimy bag, no utensils, no scrap bucket & no plate to eat off of were too much a negative to go back. Add only beer, no wine or spirits to the screaming kids and it was way bad. Sticky table, sticky seats and sticky me up to my elbows. The food is not as fresh at Joe’s Crab Shack, but that’s where we’re going tonight because it’s more than just about the food.
A schiller review: i grew up pn the coast of the northeast and have eaten ar a lot of seafood restaurants. I also really like clam bakes so was excited to give this restaurant a try We had the clams shrimp sausage potatoes lobster and corn. Sauce on the side. Frankly the sauce was so strong that it would overpower the delicate flavored of fresh see food. That said it was nice for dipping the potatoes and corn. Corn was overlooked. I would say all of the food was good. As expected for the price the shrimp were farm raised thus have a muddy flavor unless drowned In a sauce. Service was good but some problems. They did not split the belly side of the lobster and then gave me a plastic knife to do this. They would not provide a regular knife saying the did not have one. Makes me wonder how they get such clean cuts on the sausage. Also one waiter ignored me when I asked for some melted butter. Dont expect elegance here. They serve food in plastic bags Probs with the bill. One they added on several extra sodas to bump the bill they also bumped the lobster by saying they served a 2.6 lb that was definitely about a 1.75 lb. Too bad even though i liked the food and thought the price was fair i just hate when restaurants play games like this with the bill therfore I probably won’t go back. Lots more options in town.16 Sep, 2012We had the clams shrimp sausage potatoes lobster and corn. Sauce on the side. I would say all of the food was good.
