I’ve eaten Italian food all over the United States and I must say that this is some of the finest! Great sauces made from scratch, veal so tender that you could cut it with a fork, complex and fabulous wine based sauces. All at a fair price.
The whole wheat penne w/ meatballs is the best!. We go here regularly and always order the same thing, because it’s SO good. They make superb spaghetti sauce; very tomatoey, not greasy at all, not salty. I get mine with whole wheat penne, and always go home with a ton of leftover which I freeze & have as lovely lunches. The meatballs are very tasty. They also have really good home-made blue-cheese and ranch salad-dressing. Just be careful; they add way too many black olives to the salad.
Little overpriced, but most experiences have been positive. The signature dishes are excellent and the waiting staff is good!
I ordered the signature mushroom ravioli and it was good but not the best I ever had. My boyfriend had baked spaghetti and he thought it was pretty good. The salad was good and there baked bread was very good. We had a couple of loaves. The service was great and the waiter was very nice and attentive. We thought the food was overpriced for a small non fancy corner cafe. We could eat at a better restaurant for the same price. We probably won’t go back due the overpricing.
