I have eaten breakfast and lunch here. Both were inexpensive. Neither were really impressive for a Vegas buffet. I think next time, I will try one of the other restaurants. There are so many other great buffets, that this place did not live up to my expectations.
—-Oct, 2015 update: I have pretty much given up dinner buffets, never much cottoned to luncheon buffets and am now on the cusp of going buffetless on my trips to Las Vegas. The only thing holding me back is they tend to be either ridiculously inexpensive or free and I am ridiculously cheap, or as I prefer, frugal. This morning I managed to stuff myself with OJ, fresh melon, ambrosia, ham, Brussel sprouts, easy over eggs and my 2 Las Vegas guilty pleasures bacon and corned beef hash. Everything was satisfactory without anything standing out.—-May, 2015 update: Okay. On our last morning in town and immediately prior to our departure, I used a My Vegas reward for breakfast for 2. I had some fruit, OJ, easy over eggs, bacon (last until next trip), corned beef hash (last until next trip) and a little of this and that. Everything was okay, nothing stood out one way or the other.02 Nov, 2014No rancheros sauce. I had a MyVegas reward for 2 breakfast/lunch buffets so prior to departing for home stopped in for breakfast. Our server immediately took our beverage order and I was was soon preparing my first plate which included fresh melon and strawberry yogurt. I noticed in the Mexican section that there we fresh flour tortillas, refried beans and salsas so Iinquired if hot rancheros sauce was available so I could make huevos rancheros, but was told no.I went to Plan B which was easy over eggs, bacon, hash browns and 3 cookies. Overall, the food was pretty ordinary given the fancy surroundings.29 Mar, 2011Below average breakfast buffet. This buffet used to be very good, but both the size and quality have diminished over recent years. The only fresh fruit available at the breakfast time was canned or unripe melon. Even with the current discounted pricing of $4.99 at breakfast, diners would be off driving a few miles to the similarly named buffet at Sunset Station.16 Feb, 2010Disappointing breakfast. 9/22/09 visit. We have visited this buffet for breakfast countless times and over the years have witnessed a gradual deterioration. On this visit we were disappointed to discover it had been downsized and now ranks well below similarly priced buffets. 1 Fork out of a possible 5.
Ok Breakfast, good lunch. Nice decor and layout.. 2 omelet stations and plenty of standard breakfast items, including breakfast burritos and blintzes (apple and cheese). We happened to be there when breakfast switched to lunch. I had a chance to try the carved roast beef and turkey, very good. Priced right, you won’t go away hungry. Recommend
OK breakfasts…. My dad and I stopped by this week. The food tasted OK. The eggs weren’t bad, and the potatoes were good with the country gravy. The bread pudding was a nice sweet finish.18 Aug, 2009Pretty good buffet grub, good value. OK, let’s start with the obvious. It’s a buffet. Yes, I know, it’s a shocker. But if you’re a Henderson local like I am or staying at GVR, Feast is a pretty good breakfast/lunch choice and even an acceptable bargain dinner spot. The Italian pastas are always a good bet here, as are the Mexican dishes. The Asian items can be hit or miss, so only go there if the potstickers and spring rolls are out. And for dessert, the bread pudding usually hits the spot for me.Again, don’t expect to be wowed. It’s a buffet, after all. But for a buffet, GVR’s Feast is a good alternative to the usual overpriced and underwhelming Strip buffets.
Badly managed line to get in, must be 70 empty seats, 70 in line to get in and two people letting guests in at a rate of two every 5 minutes; no wonder they are losing money!
