Skip It. We tried this place because we had a Groupon. The restaurant itself was pretty nice but it was a bad sign when it was empty on a Sunday afternoon. There was one waitress for the whole place, which was fine, since there was only us and one other table. She was nice enough but didn’t come back again once we got our food. I had a BBQ burger which was fine, but nothing special. The bacon was fatty and it was greasy. It did have a nice sweet BBQ sauce though. My mom had a steak salad and she said it was tough and chewy. The best was the fried pickles appetizer. Overall, it was ok for the Groupon price, but we wouldn’t go there again. I would say skip it.
Worst service ever. Don’t waste your time or money at RR on Eastern. I went in with a group of 15 friends on 7/1, and the service was awful. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks (mostly waters). After taking our order, didn’t see our server for 30 minutes. Asked for a pitcher of water at the bar since we weren’t getting refills, bartender refused to get a pitcher but went to find the waitress. 10 minutes later, no refills, and bartender still refused to give us a pitcher of water! Finally came for refills, left with glasses, came back over 10 minutes later. By the time meals came, they came out slowly, one at a time. Last person finished eating before all meals came out. 1 person was never served. After 1hr 40min in the place, I asked for checks, as we were headed to the airport. Took 15 minutes to get checks! We paid quickly and left, but I went back to talk to the manager after taking everyone to the airport, because he had the audacity to charge each of us a 20% mandatory gratuity. While I understand this practice is standard, 20% is high, and the service didn’t warrant nearly that amount of gratuity. the manager REFUSED to consider refunding gratuity, even while acknowledging that service was not up to par. Said he would have maybe considered it before closing our checks, even though he acknowledged that it took too long to get the checks in the first place. This was among the worst service experiences I’ve ever seen. Not only was this caused by having only one server help a large table, but it was hindered by a manager who didn’t get involved, but admitted that he witnessed the situation happen. I used to love this place, and now will never go again, and will discourage as many as I can from ever visiting a RoadRunner. Corporate RR: I’d love to hear from you.
My husband and I went to the Roadrunner for dinner last Friday evening. We arrived about 7:00 p.m. We sat in the lounge area in a booth. We waited over ten minutes before being acknowledged by the waiter. He was walking by and said he would be with us shortly. About five minutes later he dramatically slid in the booth and laud down. I did feel sorry fir him, I think there may have only been two waiters in the whole restaurant. I looked over to see a dirty napkin left in the booth. We said we would like water!!! We both wanted a glass of wine and put in our dinner order since after all this time we knew what we wanted. The waiter was swearing like a dog. He left we sat for several mire minutes as we watched our waiter walking by sweating and wiping his forehead! Yuck Meanwhile the good ol boy manager stood just watching the chaos. After a few mire minutes the waiter returned and said the glasses are all dirty and that is why he hadn’t brought us water. It is over 100 degrees out and we can’t get water! At this point we decided it was time to leave. This was ridiculous. The topper was to go to our car and see that my newly washed car was soaked on one side from their sprinklers as we were parked on the end. We will nit go back. This was awful!!!
MIXED REVIEW, IT WAS SO/SO. So, we went out to Roadrunner Saloon tonight. Here’s the skinny:Food was okService was goodTime to wait for food…FAIL!I ordered the steak salad – medium rare – and hubby ordered the french dip. Both take less then 5 minutes to make. We did this because we were planing on going to the movies. We had 1 hour to make our movie…lets just say it took longer then 35 min for the kitchen to make my salad and throw together my hubby’s sandwich! The worst part was, the restaurant was not even half full! Our waiter was very kind and kept checking for us. He ended up confiding in us that the kitchen staff had started a mutiny against the servers and were slowing everything down on purpose. We tried to tell the manager that we had waited 35 min to get our food, but it was like talking to a wall.Overall, the food was fresh, tasty and well seasoned. My only complaint would be that we were 20 minutes late to our movie as a result, which sucked. So, if you don’t care about waiting 40 minutes for your food to arrive I would recommend this place.
I normaly like this place but breakfast menu is lacking a lot
