A great spot to find that totally genuine Mexican food. The restaurant is in the Aria at City center and comfortably laid out for a great meal with family, friends, business folks or a romantic bite at the end of a day on the strip. The Carnitas are so well done and a perfect bite of heaven. Try a skinny margarita with dinner and let the night begin.
Service was poor. The bar was understaffed. They needed at least one more person. Took us 10 minutes to have anybody take our initial drink order. App and entrees arrived together! Great food – poor experience.
TimesaverTip. Just get the shrimp tacos al a carte and the octopus cevice with a cucumber infused margarita! BOMB skip the lobster enchiladas as they were a distant second to the tacos!
Margaritas. The margarita’s were $15 each, but they were good! I loved the atmosphere and the food was decent. You expect to pay more at on The Strip anyway! I will go back!
Waiting. Still waiting to find fine dinning Mexican food at fine dinning price thats actually worth it. Best tacos in Vegas are at Taco’s El Gordo.
Do Not Miss the Chainsaw Carving. Not a full review, but the wall-sized, chainsaw-carved Mayan creation myth panel is simply not to be missed. We ordered a couple of cucumber margaritas and some chips, sat a table facing the back wall, and watched the amazing artwork like a Cirque show.
Pretty damn delicious.. Black Mambo Martini – dangerously good.Salsa & Chips – better than most.Guacamole – like my mami’s.Pulpo (octopus) ceviche – rico.Queso Fundido – mmmm, the adobo makes this dish.Carne Tampiquea – memorable.Flan – tasty.Waiter – on point. Here’s a video on how they made that beautiful carving in the dining room: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCfhXUmpWIA
