first like most restaurants in Bellagio this one is beautiful, the service is excellent bar none, we didnt have reservations but surprisingly the wait time was minimal (like 20min)Both my boyfriend and I decided on the tasting menu (we’d eaten at Prime a couple days before, so we thought it best to skip the red meat). We decided to each order something different and share, so at our table:beet saladartichoke tortelliniglazed bok choymushroom farrochillean sea bassking salmondessert tasting trioour meals were great, we didnt feel at all rushed between courses and our server took time to explain each preparation, overall a great experience
Arguably the best meal ever, and we’ve had some pretty spectacular meals over the years. Definitely top 5. Also among the most expensive, if not the most expensive meal ever – but worth it. We both had cocktails and then the taster meal ($115 ea) with wine pairings ($65 ea). Excellent cocktails. Dinner: caviar parfait, tuna tartare, sea bass (WOW!), lobster pot pie, ribeye steak with foie gras and a desert plate with chocolate cake, root beer float, quenelle of light chocolate ice cream, the best chocolate chip cookie ever, roasted hazel nuts… Food was all fabulous with the possible exception of the steak, which was very good but not exceptional. Then again, the couple next to us thought the steak was the best item. Service was impeccable (Miguel and team). Sommelier (Ron, I think) was very generous with his time. We made this the main event of our evening so we would not feel rushed. Dinner took just under three hours and cost $510 after tax and tip. Would definitely go to Michael Mina again.
Thanksgiving. Aside from a great table thanks to the bang-up hostess team, the meal was a definite ‘meh’ from all at the table.Fixed menu: Soup, salad, their signature lobster pot pie (smaller portion) and several main selections. I naturally chose the turkey, done three ways and plated beautifully. Perhaps some of the most tender white meat I’ve ever had, even to the point of calling it mysteriously tender… Almost like one of those old school Jeannie-O turkey bakes. The consistency of the meat was a bit gelatinous. Off to say the least.Wine list on an iPad was ridiculous, glitchy and unneeded. Overall, the meal was just bland… In both service and taste. Nothing stood out and it all felt as if it was coming off of a conveyor belt, kept warm under a hot lamp and then served. I wish they would have offered their usual menu, as this was not what I expected from Michael Mina or his culinary team at Bellagio.
Yes, come here for the food, especially the lobster pot pie. Come here for the wine selection. Come here for the dessert and coffee. But most of all come here for the service. Take a few moments and look around the dining room, at the staff. You rarely see such a hard-working team, effortlessly interacting seamlessly in the dining room, and with a smile on each face. It’s an impressive site.
The best service I have had in a long time. Recommend the tasting menu especially if it includes the ahi poke and lobster pot pie. Surprisingly we found a stellar cab at a very affordable price. Keep up the great work team MM.
Superb. Ticked all my boxes- food and wine choices were superb. Ate the Hudson valley foie gras which was quite outstanding – eat foie gras a lot across Europe and this did not disappoint. Followed this with the sole ‘in philo’ which I thought might be a patty case but was a quite delicious crumble thin topping. You can tell a. He’d from the sauces and the crab sauce on this was first class. Vegas can be very hit and miss when it comes to restaurants so just choose this one. Service and ambience matched the great food.
Everything here was amazing. We went to celebrate our anniversary and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spot. Our server was genuine and they had a sommelier to help us with our wine pairings. The froie gras was amazing and had a perfect buttery texture. All the food and wine were perfect and they even brought us a little celebratory dessert. We had a perfect view an the atmosphere was exquisite.
