So expensive and worst meal we had in Vegas. We ordered pork bun and unagi bun, those were ok. Fresh oysters were terrible, they tasted bad. Like they were not fresh. Hubby and I shared a ramen, also bad. The flavour wasnt like the authentic Japanese rich broth. Just didnt like anything we ordered.

Solid 4.5 stars to Dave Chang’s outpost in Vegas. Have wanted to try one of his restaurants ever since I saw ugly delicious and i totally missed out when I went to LA and didn’t go to majordomo. We started off with the truffle and burrata (which is a salad technically, though I don’t think it would win any healthy food awards). Haven’t had such good cheese in a while. And the sourdough croutons were amazing! Next were the pork buns which were amazing. Juicy pork with a sprinkling of their spicy sauce was delicious! Also had the ginger scallion noodles which were balanced but ursting with flavors. Service was impeccable, we also got 2 cocktails, Toki Thyme and Herb-A-Peel, both of which were excellent as well.

Trendy restaurant at the Cosmopolitan. Advanced reservations are required. We got a 5.30pm slot on a Friday as the restaurant was fully booked the rest of the night. The food is beautifully served and tasty. Their rotisserie chicken is worth getting as are the crispy potatoes side dish. Our server was friendly and always had a smile on her face. Dishes are served at the center of the table without serving spoons. I guess you are expected to share or pick at the food with your own cutlery. This didn’t work for our table as there were people with allergies and the flu! High chairs available for toddlers.

Japanese fusion restaurant suggested by relative, ordered based on one of the friendliest and helpful waitress. During this visit tried pork meatballs and momofuku oysters as appetizer, pork ramen, dry roasted mussels and summer truffle ramen as main course with cracked pie, cereal milk TM soft served and strawberry lemon as dessert. Overall food served today was great with pleasant dinning experience.

I live abroad and I had momofuku in nyc 2 years ago so on our trip to vegas, i was really excited so on our first day, we went to cosmo and we had the pork ramen and pork belly bun. The bun was yummy but the ramen was disappointing. Unfortunately, it was really salty. There were four of us and though we’re all hungry, not one finished the dish. Service was so so and they didn’t even ask if the food was okay and they should have noticed that each bowl of ramen was half finished. Dear David Chang, why is the ramen so salty this time?

So Much Good Food In Vegas And This Might Just Be The Best!first, i have to admit that our family is a bit biased toward David Chang, even though we’ve never actually tried any of his food… till now. great aesthetics in this restaurant, but that’s in keeping with the Cosmopolitan. fantastic service staff who are very knowledgeable and engaging. that really helps when you are unfamiliar with a menu as we were. right off the bat, my wife, teenaged son and i all went straight for the Pork Ramen for lunch. everything is made fresh and you get it as soon as it’s done. no waiting at the pass under a heat lamp. it’s done, it’s served. love that. when the ramen arrived first thing we noticed was how beautiful the soup looked. that’s definitely in keeping with Japanese culinary culture. smelled wonderful and got the salivary glands going immediately. first thing i tried was the broth and at first i was disappointed because i was expecting tonkatsu, but the broth was obviously a blend. one of the cooks later told me they use a blend of pork and chicken, including chicken feet and bacon in the broth. apart from it not being tonkatsu, i have to admit it was quite delicious on its own. then as i bit into the noodles… bang! oh my… what a wonderful noodle! a slight chewiness to its bite and obviously fresh. then i heard my son yelp with delight as he bit into the pork belly, so i tried it next and yep… amazing! not traditional charsu, but grilled pork belly. super flavourful and hot off the grill – no, actually hot! a bit of crunch on the exterior and then soft, melt-in-your-mouth goodness unlike any pork belly we’ve had before. a must have! the egg was disappointing to me as it was a soft poached egg and i prefer traditional tamago. this restaurant is strict with its menu. you can’t have it another way. every ingredient is placed exactly as they design it and to have it another way just isn’t in keeping with the creation so they won’t do it. i get that. however, i still would have preferred a traditional tamago in the ramen. it’s usually my fourth favourite item in a bowl of ramen after the above mentioned items. pork shoulder in the soup wasn’t that great. a bit bland, honestly, compared to all the other wonderful flavours in the bowl. perhaps that’s exactly why… to balance out all the other strong flavours. green onion, bean sprouts and fish cake were all well done and flavorful as well. all in all, a really beautiful dish. especially the pork belly! so much so, that we ordered a side dish of smoked pork belly. the waiter warned us that it’s not the same as the pork belly in the ramen, but we wanted it anyways. when the smoked pork belly arrived, it truly was another culinary experience that we’ve not experienced in any other Japanese or Japanese Fusion restaurant before. really strong, but not completely over powering smokiness and really tasty. not as good as the pork belly they put in the ramen, but still very nice. we had to share the 8oz smoked pork belly and almost couldn’t get through it all. parts of it were too dry, but also because we were already full from the bowl of ramen. the waiter initially had given us some Momofuku house blend Korean chili sauce for us to try (it’s usually served with the Pork Belly Buns – perhaps it was his way to encourage us to order some) and probably not kosher with David Chang, but we put it on the smoked pork belly and it was fantastic! overall, had a fantastic time there. wait staff were fabulous. aesthetics were sleek and comfortable. food… outstanding. only thing is the price is a bit steep, but perhaps you get what you pay for.

Excellent noodles. They’re so buttery and definitely worth the money. The pork broth is a little on the strong side for my preference, but the soup is still excellent. Pork buns were the highlight. Don’t skip those. Service was average on off hours (around 3 pm)
