What a great steakhouse! For starters we tried some chicken wings with their own sauce and it was amazing! We also had some very nice shrimps and fried mushrooms to complete. Then we went for the steaks where both the rib-eye and the bone-in were really good! They also have a vast array of beers and beverages. In the end the prices were a bit high but in line with the overall quality of the place.
Their menu is more expensive than other Outbacks, but quality is the same. The prime NY Strip steak is $39. Not sure I would return. Tried Herbs and Rye on another night and it was cheaper during happy hour (5-8pm) with half price steaks and had a better tasting steak – good as long as you don’t have kids. Outback is better for families.
`Oz-style Steak House`We drove all the way from Cupertino, CA to Las Vegas- it took us about 8-9 hrs.. After we checked-in to our hotel- Treasure Island, we decided to take a power nap(we wouldn’t want to sleep and waste the precious 2 days we had in Sin City).. We woke up after an hour(hardly helped but we couldn’t miss the action) and headed out.. On the way we all grabbed a huge tumbler(shaped more like a vuvuzella) filled with ice-crushed cocktail.. We sipped on it as we walked along the entire strip.. On the way back, the cocktails started to kick in, fuelled by lack of sleep, my friends decided to call it a day. . My wife Herwin Abhilash Kandoth and myself were not ready to sleep on an empty stomach. We went across the road, opposite to our hotel was this Australian steak joint called Outback. We checked-in and were shown to a table by our server, who I must add was very informative about the food served at the restaurant and eventually we ordered what he recommended. To drink I ordered a large mug of their regular beer, I’m not sure if it were Fosters; its been over 6 months since I visited and im unable to recall..We passed on the starters and ordered main course. My wife ordered,Parmesan-Herb Crusted Chicken: Very delicious, the flavor of Parmesan has always been heavenly for me.. The meat was cooked to perfection and was succulent..As for me, I had the Outback Sirloin- with french fries on the side.. The steak was cooked medium and it was juicy, it was definitely flavorful, also heavy- for a moment there I thought I couldn’t finish it- that’s were the beer did the trick. We didn’t have space for dessert and called for the bill. This was the first time I have heard about or eaten Australian-style cooked steak.. The food experience was alright but the thrill of being in Vegas made the overall experience worthwhile. gulpnmunch.com
Really quick and easy food- not too expensive either- my 12 oz fillet steak was only $26 I think and came with 2 sides! I would highly recommend the baked potato! I tasted the fries and they were delicious too! Cheap and cheerful!
Good value for food on the strip!
Pleasantly surprised. We were tired from a long day of walking The Strip and were in the mood for steaks and didn’t want to pay the premium prices at one of the steakhouses in one of the Strip hotels.We were seated immediately. Our server was fantastic – he checked on us often and our glasses never went empty.Appetizers and entrees were served quickly, was well-prepared, fresh and hot. We were all really pleased with our choices.Overall, great service and good value for the money.
