Ok now we’re talking. This is what I expected from a Scott Conant restaurant. Warm, relaxing, dark, intimate with views of the Bellagio fountains. Bread comes with 4 different breads with citrus olive oil, roasted vegetable tapenade and mascarpone cream that tasted like unsalted butter. We ordered the fennel dusted black cod and had a dilemma trying to choose between duck and foie gras ravioli, or the tagliatelle with fall vegetables, truffle zabagalione & guanciale. I’m happy to say that I chose the tagliatelle. It comes as a beautiful tall spiral mound with a clear dome over it. The handsome server removes the dome and pours the truffle zabaione over the pasta table side. First bite and I knew I made the right choice for me. I didn’t care about anything else in this world as I tasted the perfect harmony of texture and flavors. The pasta was warm, firm, velvety, creamy and slightly chewy and the vegetables were vibrant colors, chopped small and cooked to a perfect el dente which added a little texture. The guanciale was minute and not the star of the dish which is exactly as it should be. The other order at the table was black cod with grilled fennel and tomato reduction. Both good but the pasta is what is spectacular here. I’ll be dreaming of it for days. alwaysleeann.com

RUSHED!!. Very expensive and the food was very good, but the server rushed us thru our meal. He actually ruined our evening and we wanted to enjoy the fine dining. He brought me out my dessert with a birthday candle in it and then charged us on the bill for it. So tacky that has never happened to me before!

I went to scarpetta for a few small plates. We like to try as many different restaurants as we can when in Vegas. The polenta was amazing. The pasta was simple but so good.

Should be better. This was my second visit in the last six months. Food is a bit pricey but then again you are on the strip- to be expected. Food was good and solid both times. As one reviewer noted, there’s just something about the service that seems a bit off. While attentive they are not exceptional which I would expect at this location and these prices and Scott’s reputation. The hostess was rude to us. We were there at four minutes to six when they open at six pm. The hostess said she couldn’t help us till six. Then at six pm she told us we could sit at the bar because the manager hadn’t cleared for opening yet. We couldn’t get a drink at the bar while waiting because the bar wasn’t open till six pm either. Mind you it was now 6:05 pm but the manager hadn’t given the approval to open yet. Finally at 6:08 pm with our reservation at 6, the hostess seated us. It was a rude experience and not a pleasant one when you are waiting to spend good money and they won’t service us. This is lacking organization.Unfortunately after two visits I won’t be back. Far too many places to try in Las Vegas that want our business.
