  So many choices of restaurants in New York New York hotel but what appealed to me about this restaurant was the dcor. Part of the experience I pay for is the ambiance and this one delivered it for me. Cool murals and ceiling fixtures. Just looking at this and enjoying the oversized margaritas was a memorable experience despite the fact I was eating solo. They were generous with the taco appetizers. The margaritas were great value and very timely in delivery. I enjoyed the salad and although it was plain jane chicken Caesar, the corn bread was the reason I ordered it. The only thing that was strange was that I used a prepaid universal gift card and it looked like they charged me twice for the bill. They told me they couldnt use the gift card so I paid with cash but then later, I noticed the bill amount come off my gift card when I checked the balance.Key takeaways:- make sure you know your gift card balance if you are using one. Not sure if they know how to redeem it- you should love margaritas cuz they make good ones here. Ask them not to put too much ice if you want a stronger, less diluted margarita- enjoy the ambiance. Wear a sombrero if you want to blend in with the decor

  We had dinner here a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night before heading off to see Blue Man Group at the Luxor.Located in the main foyer area of the Luxor, it’s a convenient place if you’re seeing any of the shows or attractions at the hotel. I’m sometimes a little wary of spots like this because you’re trapped by the convenience factor, but no such concern here – it was excellent.The views from this open air restaurant are great for people watching. The atmosphere is busy but the staff was friendly and attentive- we didn’t have any significant wait for service.Food was quick from the kitchen and was very very good. Great salsa (a plus), excellent selection as well as a variety of drink options all recommend this place. Appetizers, entrees (I had an outstanding paella) and desserts were all well above average.It’s not cheap price wise, (about $120 for two bar and top in), but it’s definitely competitive on the Strip and the quality of the food and experience makes it good value. The only drawback is that it is down at the far end of the Strip, so I’d need a reason to be in that area, and I am not frequently. That said, when I am, I will be back here for sure.
