I am craving High tea as of right now.Last year i travelled to Las Vegas quite a bit and my gf took me to High tea in the Mandarin Oriental. It was soo elegant and delicious. I’ve been to the high to in Calgary and Banff, but this one was different.I loved that we got a view of the strip as well :)It had the perfect variety of savoury and sweet treats. My favourite were the sandwiches and scones with Chantilly cream. The tea selection was great as well, my gf got the matcha green tea and i got a jasmine tea.It came in big pots.I recommend this to anyone who loves high tea and is in vegas 🙂 lapetitteshar.com

Afternoon Tea in the Sin City, Amazing!. Tea Lounge at Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas located at 23rd floor; you could guess the view of the Strip is great! We went for our afternoon tea on a Saturday before we headed to the Les Miz show. We were seated by the window overlooking the Strip; time to take out my iPhone to take some pictures. Gee, I forgot my iPhone! Sorry, I could not post any pictures with all those tiny and cute finger sandwiches and sweets.$36 afternoon tea for one included five finger sandwiches, two scones, few tea pastries and a pot of tea. All items were prepared in great details. Scones were the best I ever had; they were slightly crispy outside, soft and warm inside. We refilled finger sandwiches for additional $5. Server Nancy was so nice; she offered to take pictures for us with her own phone and emailed them. We deeply appreciated her kind gesture. Food, service and ambience all deserved a solid A.Note: 15% tips was added to the bill.

Many small problems…. I truly wanted to fall in love with this place but could not. First off the location; it is directly off what I assume is their main lobby. Though artfully decorated and, yes, the views are spectacular it is not as serene as I would like, or as secluded as I feel a tea room should be. Noise level fluctuates. The staff was wonderful and the food was good, extremely artful and beyond well crafted. However it is also almost ludicrously small. The sandwiches are more like two-bite canapes and the pastries are one bite each. Though it is plain they are striving for quality not quantity I did think it was a little overboard… surely another sandwich or two or another scone wouldn’t have killed. What I disliked the most was a 15% tip was automatically added to my bill. I find this incredibly tacky. I am a heavy tipper and enjoy rewarding good service and to me this was extremely off-putting and presumptous. And there was no warning of this policy any where. My tea, my meal and my cocktail came to 65 dollars with tax and their added tip and in no way did I really feel like I got what I paid for. Will not return.

The Finest Cocktail Hour. Jaw-dropping views from the floor to ceiling glass on this 23rd floor gem. I just sampled their various gins while there, but can tell you that this small room is truly the only spot in Vegas where the elite come to relax.Odd side note: Hottest wasabi peas I’ve ever eaten as bar snacks. They set me ON FIRE. Beware.Attentive cocktail staff without being pushy or tip driven. Typical grade A+ Mandarin Oriental quality.

An Refreshing Escape from The Strip. Quiet, peaceful and completely refreshing space at the Manadrin Oriental allows you to absorb the hub of activity of the Strip from up above. The selection of tea is impressive and unique while the High Tea finger food is delicious and surprisingly filling; scones are fresh and warm as they crumble and the sandwiches are light and delicate. An unexpected delight in a city of excess.
