A nicely fitted out restaurant however the service does not match it. We were walk ins and were told to wait 15 mins for a table even though there were plenty of seats. We waited at the bar area and had to flag someone down to get drinks. Once our table was ready (not sure why it needed to be prepared as the glasses, cutlery etc are already on each table) they wanted to charge the drinks instead of adding it to the entire bill at the end (probably because the guy service us wanted a tip). There was 2 guys allocated to our table. One told us the specials and then took our orders after a few extra minutes of perusing the menu. After the food came out it seems like all the staff just disappeared (no one came to check if we needed more drinks etc until later). The food was ok however the service really let this place down. The fois gras entree was the main highlight for me. The beef pot dish was nice and tender and the sauce was plentiful however there was just too much of it. We also were at the table for quite some time and our empty glasses and random utensils were still left on the table – not good enough service for a place like this.
I came here with a co worker one night during a convention.The wine was very good, service was excellent and they had an extensive menu and a lot of nice meat cuts available.The steak I had was a sirloin, I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered the 6oz, it was a perfect medium rare. I also ordered the asparagus and potatoes. The potatoes were the best I have ever had, so creamy and seasoned perfectly. The asparagus was a LOT for one person, you could easily share.It’s very expensive and I found it to be awfully dingy, dark and not a great atmosphere overall. For an upscale place with a dress code, some people were dressed like it was a day at the beach. Very odd.
