Not Todd English anymore…the menu and beer selection have been minimized. No more Raw Bar, no more selection of quality meats…and a mostly empty bar, which used to always be packed. Terrible loss, there is no reason to dine here anymore…

The Todd English Pub is your typical English style pub smack dab in the middle of the glitz of the Las Vegas Strip. I have respect for their craft beer selection with many choices from local NV breweries. The atmosphere is more of a modern urban American bar that relies heavily on English Pub roots. It’s nice, a clean and wondrous place top spend some time without the sounds of slot machines and smoke (I’m not a smoker. Feel free if you are) Service: We arrived just after 11 am and were quickly seated. There were 8 in our group. Tables were joined and we were seated, given a menu, and water soon followed. Pictures soon followed, typical tourist style, and the manager even come over and offer to take them. Several cameras and angles later we let him go. The wait staff was attentive and on target. Food: The menu to inclusive enough for most everyone. The top rated item, from what I understand, is the Lobster Rolls. I opted for a Corned Beef Reuben because Reuben’s are hard for me to pass up. This one came in 3 offerings. The wife got the Turkey. Odd on any bar menu is the drink of choice for the wife, a Strawberry shake. Yes, you read that right and it was really good. The Reuben’s were good, albeit a tad dry. They could have used some additional dressing and I could have asked. Another in our group had the Lobster Rolls and were transported to some ethereal plane of existence where the sun shines every day and nary a terse word is spoken. Cost: It’s Vegas in an exclusive shopping area of the Aria. This is not your hometown. If Vegas is excellent at anything, it’s extracting money from visitors with surgical precision. Reuben -$21.00 Craft brews – $12.00 and on a sliding scale upwards. Shakes – $9.00 (adult shakes are higher of course) I expect that the rent at the Aria is mindboggling.I would prefer Todd English to any Vegas Buffett for certain. They may not have the sheer variety of a buffet but no known buffet will offer you up Nevada Craft Brews.

Its a Pub. A pub in my definition is a over priced cafe.

Over-priced by a long shot for the quality of food. $24 for fish and chips that was realistically a $14 meal. It was decent but nothing great. Beer selection is good and we had no problems with the service.

Good food and beer.. We liked this pub for both food and beer. When I couldn’t decide on a beer I took the server’s recommendation and I really liked it. The spouse tried an IPA. I was hungry and ordered the grilled cheese with fries. It comes with bacon and tomato and I forgot to ask for no bacon. Once I took it off there was not much to the sandwich, but it was fine. The fries were excellet and I made a huge dent in the huge cupful. The spouse ordered lobster rolls that came with chips. He said they were good, not great.

Typical Strip. You get what you should expect on the strip with this place. The service is really hindered by a management practice of being understaffed. Our server apologized to us for a bottleneck at the bar because there was only one bartender working on a Saturday night at the busy hour. I asked if someone hadn’t showed up, and she said, no, this is normal. We always have one bartender who goes insane trying to keep up at this time, and the wait is always long. Guess the customers satisfaction and the bartenders sanity is not worth an extra hand… The beer selection is decent, and since you’re paying strip prices, and each beer takes 15 minutes minimum, we got a whole pitcher of Belgian style tripel. No complaints there! The food was good (not amazing), and of course priced high. I got the lobster rolls which were so widely lauded. I was disappointed that the main ingredient was butter, and it overpowered every other flavor, especially the lobster. I rubbed all the butter off a piece of lobster to be able to taste it, and it was honestly not very good without its butter bath. I was disappointed that a supposedly high end restaurant cannot make a good lobster dish without applying a butter solution to mask any other flavor. The chili burger was actually really good. I recommend that one. The sweet potato fries were nothing special, but I did like the cole slaw more than at an average barbeque joint, which should be expected. We sat outside and enjoyed great people watching while we waited long spells between service visits. Overall, you could do worse on the strip.
