A fast food joint at Las Vegas McCarran airport. Our flight was delayed for 6 hours so we had to get lunch at the airport. Little kids are always tempted by nuggets and burgers. My 5 years old daughter decided that we eat at Carl’s Jr. It was our first time at Carl’s and to be honest we never heard about it. Similar to Mc.Donnald’s, Burger king, Wendy’s or Hardee’s. We got the Big Deluxe and Double Western Burgers and a box of chicken tenders. Luckily the junk food was acceptable. Not too greasy nor too oily. The taste was OK.
I had the teriyaki burger it was gross. The girl forgot one thing I ordered. Plus it was super expensive. The Jalepeno poppers were ok but again the sauce was gross it was some white salad dressing. Maybe the rest of its good but mine was not.
Burnt crap. Ordered a famous burger and received burnt crunchy bun and about half an onion. Complained to the staff and had the minimum wage staff roll their eyes at me. Do not eat here. Don’t expect a whole lot for ten bucks and from a fast food joint but I do expect to be able to eat the burger.
OK food. This was the only edible food joint in the airport.
Long wait, but was it worth it ?. On our flight out from Vegas, we never had a chance to eat breakfast until we arrived at the airport and through the security check.I was hoping for Burger King, but due to water malfunction over half of the eateries in McCarran were not able to open, the only few that did open were Carl’s Jr (and another fancy sandwich place).I’m not a big fan of ‘artisan’ type sandwiches, so that only left Carl’s. The line up was extremely long and slow (as they only had 2 tils, one that took in airport staff only, so that left only one to serve regular customers) – I’m not complaing about the line, as the water malfunction may have happened recently causing the long lineups. However, the long wait did not result in anything memorable. I ordered the combo 6 – double cheese burger, fries, pop (yes burgers for breakfast). They gave each customer who ordered a disk that would buzz when their order was ready; food service was lengthy but again due to high volume that is understandable. The burger meat itself was ok (for fast food), but that is where it ended – the bun was dry and crumbly, the fries were extremely mediocre – it was lukewarm and rather soggy. The kicker was if we had waited another 30 min or so, Burger King did open up.
Good hang over breakfast sandwich. Very salty, but the service is good and the quality is very good, especially for Airport food.
