Let down. A friend recommended this place to me a few months back. I took my wife, for what was supposed to be a pleasant evening. I reserved a table, we went in and got seated at this tiny 2’X3′ table and could have eaten off of our neighbor’s plates. The waitress treated us as nothing special, it was what do you want, here’s your food, thanks for coming. Not to mention she got my wife’s order wrong and we had to send it back. The live entertainment was good, the wine was good. Now to the food… My entree was $25 (there’s nothing there under $20) There was no presentation. I ordered chicken fetticcini (however you spell that) and got this tiny little portion! We are talking of a dish that consists of noodles, a butter sauce, and chicken, THAT’S IT, maybe a whopping cost of $1.50 to make. I got (maybe) a half an ounce of chicken in my noodles? I’ve never left a restaurant hungry until I went to Casa Di Amore and I’m not some big eater either. Was my small dish {worth} $25 in quality? A clear answer would be, NO. Anywhere else I’ve gone, when you pay $25 per entree, you’re leaving with a box of leftovers, period! The total was $78 and change, money I wish I had back. It takes a LOT to piss me off but this place successfully got it done. My recommendation is take your money to the cheesecake factory or the sicilian ristorante down the street. You’ll pay half the price for double the quality and service.
I ate here last week and am a Vegetarian. The Italian sauted greens with cannellini beans was exquisite! The eggplant parmesan to die for and not to take away from the food, atmosphere or live entertainment our server was amazing. I wish I got his name but he was tall with brown hair and awesome! They have a meatless meatball that although spicy was fantastic, not too spicy…just enough. I will eat here on a regular basis. FYI, being a Realtor if I want to take my clients to this restaurant, they have limo service! I can really impress my clients with food, entertainment, good service and great atmosphere. 5 Stars!
Traditional Las Vegas. So I wasn’t around when Vegas was the Old Las Vegas, but if I would have been I can only imagine that this is what it would have been like. I booked very far in advance and we were picked up by the Limo promptly and whisked away to the restaurant, which was plush with lots of reds and photos and dim lighting. The service was beyond amazing with the server and limo driver being very kind and attentive. For dinner we tried the hot antipasto platter which was good but very large, I had the chicken parmigiana which was good, but only offered with pasta even though I preferred veggies, and my boyfriend had the chicken fettuccine alfredo. Very classic dishes, but for some reason they seemed just average. So if you are not super picky go for the fabulous ambiance and service, and try something besides the two dishes we tried on our visit, which weren’t spectacular.Tip: Go Sun or Mon for 1/2 price bottles of wine, or any other day with a restaurant.com certificate for some money off your meal
My favorite restaurant in Vegas. If I lived in Vegas I would be a regular diner at Casa di Amore. I love this restaurant and I go there every time I’m in Vegas. The food is wonderful and the service is too. If you call ahead, you can have them pick you up from the Strip in a complimentary limo! At the restaurant, they have live music provided by a singer/piano man who plays Rat Pack Classics and who will also take requests. This restaurant is fun, delicious and inexpensive.
Good luck getting the free limo on a weekend. The atmosphere was good old school Las Vegas, but the service was terrible and the food was below average. Will not go back, or recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Great food and atmosphere. Get the garlic bread, it’s a must!
Old School Italian. My wife and I had decided to come here for dinner a couple of nights. We were looking for a place close to my work and UNLV. My wife mentioned there was an Italian restaurant near the coffee shop she frequents. I’m always up for Italian, so we decided to give it a try.It had the feel of an old school New York Italian restaurant. For our appetizer we ordered the twice wrapped prawns. It was okay but not nearly as good as I was hoping it would be. The flavors just weren’t there. For our entrees we ordered the pork chops with vinegar and peppers and the eggplant di amore. Both were quite good, and the portions were large. The restaurant is a little pricey, so while I may go back, I doubt I’ll be a regular.
