An abundance of goodness. This mainstay, 15 years, on Maryland Parkway, is very casual as befits an establishment catering to a college crowd though none were in attendance this evening. We each ordered the lamb and beef gyro platter at the counter. Our plates included an abundance of gyro meat, (2) enormous whole wheat pitas, hummus, an Israeli salad and tzatziki sauce. Also available was a tray of pickled carrots. All the food was fresh tasting and very filling.
One word: Excellent! I was I. The mood for some good food and was not disappointed! The staff was great and I had the Number 11 combo. Outstanding!
Excellent Find!. We had planned to go to a different lunch place but it was closed on Sundays. We wound up here at Stephano’s and were quite pleased. The staff is friendly and the food was fast and excellent. We ate falafel, shawerma (on salad) and lamb gyro (on salad). The spices on all three were distinct for each particular food, not all exactly the same as one often finds in restaurants which offer multiculture cuisine. They gave us a choice of wheat or white pita; both were excellent. We didn’t try the fries but we did try the homemade baklava. Ymmm.
