Not recommended. Ordered one 3 Meat Plate with 2 sides, +2 small drinks. Each meat portion was of equal weight @ 3.3 ounces per serving (total 9.9 ounces).One side was BBQ Beans (Bushs?), coleslaw was generic. Lemonade was diluted flavored water in taste. Total $16.60 before tax.Service was friendly. Food was dreadful. Brisket was cold. A request for a pat of butter for our dinner bun required an additional 35 cents!!Would I recommend to a friend? NOWould I return? Not in this lifetime.Will anyone get to read this review? Probably not
This place has great pulled pork sandwiches and the brisket the best I be had in a long time. There is a great family dining atmosphere. A good variety of BBQ sauces to choose from. Some of the sides were bland (the fried okra, macaroni cheese) but the overall experience was a good one.
Meat is decent.. Sides are flavorless.
At least they try…. The meat had a good flavor but was served at that dangerous room temp. The sides had zero flavor. Couldn’t find anything redeeming to make me want to try them again.
3.5 Stars – Stopped in at Dickey’s BBQ Pit for our family of 6. Atmosphere is good and the place was hopping. Every table full. We ordered the XL Family Pack. The meat was very good. The ribs were solid, the pulled pork was excellent. Maybe the best pulled pork in Reno. The brisket was tasty as well. Family also enjoyed our side items like mac n cheese, BBQ beans, cole slaw and potato casserole. Definitely a good value for the money. My only significant criticism is that their sauces were too sweet for my taste. But we’ll return.
