My first review of any restaurant. I took my family to the great basin restaurant because it was supposed to have the best fish and chips in Reno. It was the worst fish and chips I have ever had. The grandkids didn’t like theirs. My son ordered a burger and asked them to cut it in half, the waitress said they didn’t have time to because they were preparing for a big evening meal. We were there at 2 PM. I’ll NEVER set foot in that place again. Michael Hoffman
Served burnt food. First time at the Sparks location with a family. The waitress took our orders and after waiting some time, we were finally served. Odd because of the lack of customers. I took one look at my black and blue burger and realized that the so call meet patty was burnt and unfit to eat. The manager was shown and I was assured they would make it right. Needless to say I was never served. I asked to pay my bill and left.
The Mac and cheese with grilled chicken is as close to pure mouth and stomach happiness as you can get 🙂
Holiday brews are excellent. Great atmosphere and service as well.
Gluten Free Menu. Last night my group was pleasantly surprised to find that a gluten free menu is now available. As 2 of us are gluten free, I think this saved a lot of questions to our waiter. Thank you for making ordering simple again.
Excellent and enjoyable brew pub atmosphere, craft beer options aplenty, try the fish and chips and/or burgers – awesome.
I tried Great Basin Brewing Co. For the first time recently. We ordered deep fried zucchini (very good), I had the rib eye and my wife had the BBQ burger. My wife liked the sauce, and I thought the steak was way over seasoned. The fries were good, but the salad was lousy, bib lettuce for a salad doesn’t appeal to me. Overall I liked the food, and merits a return visit. Maybe I’ll get the fish and chips.
