One of my favorite places. I have read the negative reviews and its pretty obvious that the authors do not know authentic food even if its in front of their face. How can you compare a Chinese salad to one that you get at Costco? Never had a bad experience ever!

Worst place I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. My stomach just hurts thinking about it. I ordered a Chinese Chicken Salad believing it would look similar to Costco’s, but they brought me a huge plate of old chopped up iceberg lettuce, even older fried chicken (worse than KFC), and sprinkled peanuts that look like they’ve been taken out of trail mix. The $7 value isn’t bad for quantity. However, if quality is what you seek, do not eat here!

We ordered spicy chicken wing and it wasn’t wings. It was just wing pieces and only an inch long part of the crappy end of the wing chopped off the rest of the wing.

GREAT FOOD!. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU WOULD POST ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT THIS PLACE! It cost less than $6.00 for a combination plate (VERY GOOD for the price- BETTER than any food court meal). They finish cooking your food 10 minutes after you order and stay open til 3am! WTF? And why would you complain about silverware and packaged sauces? This is not gourmet!! I could see if you’re are Chi or Palais de Jade.. but come on now.. 10 stars for price, taste and staying open SUPER LATE!! HANDS DOWN, BEST PLACE IN TOWN FOR THE QUALITY OF A $5 COMBO PLATE!

DECENT FOOD. Food was decent, I got shrimp chowmein and the shrimp didn’t look convincing, it was very dark brown you couldn’t tell it was shrimp. The orange chicken was good. Not the best food Ive had but not the worst either.

We’ve lived in Reno for years, and this place has probably been here nearly as long, but we’ve only fairly recently eaten here a few times. It has a typical cheap and quick Asian food place ambiance about it, but don’t let that fool you. The food is very reasonably priced, service casual and friendly, and the food is plentiful and delicious. Need I say anymore? But I will. Menu selection is outstanding, almost too big, but everything we’ve tried has been great, with a variety of items you can’t normally get at a place like this. I love the #75 with Singapore style curry, and my wife enjoys the soups as well as numerous other dishes. Interior styling is weird, with baby fashion pictures on the walls, but with food this good to chow down on you won’t notice the pictures anymore once you start eating.

Great late night eats!. If you are an incurable insomniac with an inability to sleep on an empty stomach, like I am, then Hong Kong Diner is a place you need to know. I can only eat at the casino coffee shops so many days a week, so I am always looking for those rare, non-fast food, after 10pm options. This place is open until 3am! Try the Crab Rangoon, which is sometimes greasy, but ALWAYS delicious.
