Great place for special occasions. A little to pricey for just going put to eat. We love the food especially the shrimp. Been there several times and all the chefs are good.Highly recommend
Incredible Nigiri. I wasnt impressed by the rolls here, but their nigiri made up for it. I havent been anywhere that gave me half as much fish on a piece of nigiri, and it was the best fish I have tasted.
Birthday Dinner. I have had friends work at Ichiban’s through the years and I have passed up eating there through that time regrettably. So for my B-Day I wanted some of their cuisine. I was stoked to know that my dinner was free for my B-Day. The service took a little while, but the place was pretty packed. The miso soup was good with a flavorful broth. The appetizers were both delicious. They were shrimp or calamari I tried both. The shrimp was the best thing I tasted all night. I usually don’t like calamari, but the wife said it was good so I tried some…It was perfect. The Teppanyaki Chef was successful at his presentation, but I could tell he was just starting to get the hang of this style of service. My main course was a blend of Filet Mignon, Shrimp (not as good as the appetizers), and Chicken. I Noticed that a person at my table had ordered Kobe Beef. We discussed the flavor and richness of the meat. He had just paid $25 extra for the Kobe Beef. My food was delicious with only one little piece of chicken with fat in it. Not too bad considering most places leave the rib meat on the chicken breasts. I enjoyed a couple of Sapporo Beer pints with my dinner and they flowed perfectly with the flavors and textures of the food. The meal ended with a dessert of Banana’s Foster over vanilla ice cream. It was all too much to eat. I had my teenager eat all of the steak I couldn’t finish and the dessert I couldn’t finish. He is helpful in that way. I had a wonderful dinner at an outrageous price even with my meal being free. The prices need to lower or else we might not see this killer restaurant around in the near future. Phenomenal Food, Amazing show, Ridiculous prices.
Foodis good, service is not. I have eaten at Ichiban twice and each time the food was good, but have to correct the chief with almost every service. Now I know their are great chief who know what they are doing but why do I get the two bad ones.
For the price of sushi I would have expected this place to be the best I’ve ever had. However, the service was only soso, it took 10mins to even get water. They were out of half the fish we ordered and due to the ‘hour time limit’ on all you can eat, we were denied more sushi even tho it took 25mins to get our first roll. Besides that, the rolls were uncreative and really weren’t that spectacular. Never going there again
Dinner and a show. I highly recommend the Kobe beef. It is quite pricey, but SO delicious.
This is possibly the best food I’ve ever had. Great people with great skill both at making food and showing it off.
