Johnny’s Ristorante, Reno-TERRIFIC!. We just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary by having dinner at Johnny’s Ristorante on W. 4th St., Reno. We haven’t been there in years and were very pleased that we made this choice. There is a lovely full bar area at the entrance, but we were seated right away in a room that was tastefully designed with soft tones, lovely wall sconces, low lighting, the tables were draped in white tablecloths. The staff wore professional black uniforms and were very friendly, attentive and cheerful. We started with a bottle of Montepulciano and it was very good. We ordered entrees that included the house Italian salad that was lightly tossed, very fresh and had crumbled gorgonzola on top. It was very satisfying along with the hot garlic bread. My husband loved the Canelloni he ordered, as good as the best he had in Italy and it was a large serving, I had the pasta with creamy saffron sauce, shrimp and asparagus. It was so delicious that I would definitely order it again.. We concluded with coffee, fresh and good. We didn’t order dessert, but were tempted. We had the wine, salad, garlic bread, entrees and coffee all for $77 plus a tip. Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back again!!

Excellent all around. Over the past couple of years, my husband and I have been to Johnny’s several times. The service and food are always excellent! I really love the decor too.
There has not been a meal here that I did not enjoy. The food was fresh and I have always had outstanding service in this establishment.
Gluten free spaghetti!. Celiac Disease? No problem here! They made me the most awesome plate of spaghetti ever! And the waiter made sure that nothing else was mixed or touched my dish that might have had gluten in it.I add this place to my very small list of restaurants that I can eat at now. Wonderful!
Good food. I had a good meal with my wife.
Bad management. We were very unhappy with this place to eat last Christmas season. There were 4 in our party, and no way would they let us do separate checks for the 2 couples (slip Check), so we left and well NEVER return, till they change there policies. The hostess was very RUDE to us.So we eat next door at the Washoe Grill, and had a fantastic dinner, with pleasent servers and split checks.
